It is with extreme sadness that I report that Joof Lamprecht has passed away in Windhoek, Namibia of natural causes. Joof was a giant in the safari business and a pioneer in Namibian professional hunting. He and his wife Marina started Hunters Namibia Safaris 31 years ago and grew the company to be the premier safari outfitter of the country.

Joof is survived by Marina and their three wonderful children.

I met Marina several times over the last few years at various outdoor shows. She is a very nice lady. My sympathy to the family.

Its hard to hunt Namibia as many times as I have and not run into Joof. I did run into him, and am saddened by this news.
Never heard a bad thing about him.
