Getting my house painted next week. I've always painted my own house but this time I'm hiring it out.

The wife has paint color sample cards and is not shy and will brazenly walk up on some local stranger's driveway to match the colors on the house.
I just sit in the car and watch the drama unfold.

Anyway, after several arguments, I've capitulated to Mountain Road, Night Owl, and Eggshell.

I was holding out for Guillotine Gray but got cut off.

I wonder what the pay is for being a paint name specialist.

Can’t be much. They give it a name but WTF knows what the color is.

Lily snow white cracker old school southern white with Charleston green shutters and doors and a metal roof.

The paint code for my wife's soccer-mom-ish Equinox is Silver Ice. The exact paint code is available for a Camaro, but there it's called Switch Blade Silver.

Maroon red brick, white trim.

The original paint on this house was called Wayfarer Gray. There was nothing gray about it. It was a light green, pure green, no gray at all.

Tar paper black with rusty tin trim.

Built a house a few years back. It was “camel” with “electric blueberry” trim. That evolved into “camel toe” and “electric dingleberry” really quick amongst the crew. I let “camel toe” slip to the homeowner and his wife in a meeting which resulted in a really awkward 10 seconds that turned into another 60 seconds of hysteric laughter (to my relief). They were pretty cool. They divorced in ‘09 due to the crash and he committed suicide.
If I had a conscience I’d probably give a fugg.

I spray my house with 10 gal off-road diesel, 5 gal transmission fluid and Tempo insecticide yearly. Gives the cypress a reddish tint for a few months.

My buddy painted my house for me. Would of taken me at least 3 or 4 days. Likely a couple weeks. He shows up with a couple guys and we were drinking margs by 3:00.

Faux shutters are Pearl Black but actually a very dark blue.

If you smoke, it can also give the house a flickering orange color for a couple of hours.
