Title says it all. FAQ and message on private mail page fail at answering this question. Just says you need to make posts and contribute. There must be a number, just say it for cripes sake…

Thanks for the help guys. I’ll make posts and keep checking it. I have another account with less than 20 posts that I was able to use for private mail (I have a buddy here from another board). But it’s my real name and I’d rather not use my real name on public boards

You're lucky to be able to post at all. There was a time in the past when one of the power groups here at the 'fire wanted to make a rule that a person had to have at least 1,000 posts before they were allowed to post.

It can be done quicker with a small financial agreement through the proper channels.

But we can't tell you how until you reach a certain number of posts...
