That's not what the law says tho. It simply states no discussion (straight or gay) with primary grade students about sexual orientation or gender identity at that age. Not the time nor the place and it doesn't say you can on one orientation and not on another.

The Left has latched onto it because that's when they need to start talking to kids to convince them they're part of a certain identity most often. It's a mislabeled law in public opinion.

I heard about that recently on the radio but didn't catch all the details. What's gonna be the new, approved word for that? Any unauthorized terminology will be deemed as "unacceptable", or "hate speech", or "homophobic bigotry" or some other cute insult. Whatever new term is used will need to be approved by the Ministry Of Truth. And God help anyone who refuses to comply with what is decreed to be true.

The law says that schools can't teach kids in kindergarten through 3rd grade about "sexual orientation or gender identity" which makes perfect sense because there's no reason for kids that age to be discussing anything like that, they're prepubescent. It's designed to keep some loony teacher from convincing a six year old that he's really a girl and needs to go on hormone therapy then get his pecker cut off. In a sane world there wouldn't need to be a law about something like this but we all know how schools are filled with leftist activists now so unfortunately there is a need.

I saw an article about some homo male teacher who was lamenting that he now couldn't discuss his love life with his "husband" with his students. That's the exact type of thing this law is designed to prevent. No second grader needs to sit through a story about how some guy rooted in his butt over the weekend. It's crazy that this guy is allowed anywhere around children anyway. A straight teacher can't talk about how her husband bent her over the hood of the car either, but we never needed a law about it because before now because nobody in their right mind walked into the classroom and talked about that.

Not a violation of the First Amendment. Grooming young children into perversion falls into the classification of conduct, not speech. Just like "your money or your life" isn't protected speech in the context of poking your finger from inside a coat pocket in someone's direction. In that context, "your money or your life" isn't speech. It's conduct, and conduct that's part of a criminal action. Same with talking to young children about perverted sex. That's an element of the crime of "grooming children." Google the term.
