Kid did follow up visit to Dr.
Had MRI a week ago.
Tumors on lymph nodes.

Has condition that can cause false tumors, but doc said there were multiple. Scheduling biopsy.

Had several xrays/ procedures on jaw. Dunno if that cause it. Had a benign tumor removed elsewhere a yr or so ago.

Hoping these are just false ones per her disorder.

Mom up puking from stress, running laundry.

My first day back to work after sickleave is today.....gonna be a long one with busted sleep.

Good vibes/ prayers for kid appreciated.

I know you've mentioned some pretty serious health problems with her before, I can't imagine how stressful and costly it all must be.

Wishing hoping for good results for her.

I am a believer but its always been a common sense/matter of fact thing.
Am also one to expect the worst.

Lamentations 3:18-26
New International Version

18 So I say, “My splendor is gone
and all that I had hoped from the Lord.”

19 I remember my affliction and my wandering,
the bitterness and the gall.
20 I well remember them,
and my soul is downcast within me.
21 Yet this I call to mind
and therefore I have hope:

22 Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail.
23 They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
24 I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion;
therefore I will wait for him.”

25 The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him,
to the one who seeks him;
26 it is good to wait quietly
for the salvation of the Lord.

Update:

Went to the doc today, biopsy says not cancer.
More tests to be done, try to find out what may have caused tumors.
Could be genetic and or auto immune disorder.

Doc seemed to be gung ho on finding answers.

Thanks for the prayers and well wishes. smile

That’s great news considering….

I hope you get some answers because in the absence of fact the mind can play some pretty dirty tricks on us. Knowing that these are NOT cancerous or malignant is the best possible news and I’m so glad for it. I’ve been thinking about you guys and I will continue to pray for you all.

Just saw this.

Prayers incoming, big time.

No offense to Howard Memorial (or whatever they're called these days), but I hope you're using Indy Docs for this.

I'll plan a Southerly meetup with ya for my next Miami Co. adventures - first 2 rounds are on me. If said kid is of drinking age, I'll buy his rounds, too. Redneck chemo, if you will.

Just to have that news is like having a yoke taken off all of your minds, especially your daughters mind.

Could you feel the tumors? Did they hurt? I've got some swollen nodes in my neck they are keeping an eye on but haven't suggested a biopsy. For the last few months I've had a burning pain back by my shoulder blade. It's been slowly getting more painful and is constantly hurting now in a burning like pain in one small area.

Probably going to have to get it checked out soon because it's right near where I had some early melanomas removed. The biopsy showed they got it all but this weird burning pain is starting to concern me.

Glad yours turned out benign. I worry about this stuff too much ever since I've been on remicade. It has a long list of warnings.

Jaw problems due to tissue disorder, so the lymph node swelling was a bit more uncomfy.
She's had a lot of jaw X rays, so concern was there.
Had a tumor removed 2 yrs ago elsewhere, benign.
MRI shows 3 on one lymph node, and 1 on the other.
Have to do test to see if its related to a specific disorder, and then based on that, a course of treatment.
Posted By: CCCC Re: Long night - 04/08/23
hookeye, the good news regarding absence of malignancy is much appreciated and has to be helpful to you and yours. Now, waiting for more good news about cause of tumors and a cure.
