Just got word that an old friend of mine was attacked a seriously injured by a pit bull Sunday night. Dixon is 80+ years old and on oxygen. He was was working on his yard and the God Damned mutt jumped him. It bit his legs and knocked him off his feet. Dixon tried to defend himself with his walker but the dog got hold of his left hand and severely mangled it. He also received bruises to his ribs and he is having serious respiratory issues. He’s had a couple of surgeries on the had and the reconstruction seems to be working but the docs. are worried about his lungs.
If you have a spare moment, please say a short prayer for this good man!

Dear All,
Please understand that your prayers are appreciated more than you know. Dixon s daughter let me know that he had a better time resting last night and was more upbeat today. His family is talking about moving him to an assisted care facility for his recovery. Knowing Dixon as I do, they had better be wearing helmets and body armor before they begin the “nursing home “ conversation.
