I was a freshman in 1984. It occurred to me after a couple of sessions of my political science class that the professor was a freaking communist and I said to myself, "holy crap this guy is a freaking communist".

I'm inclined to think that at least in some cases that may be true. when I was growing up many years ago, my best friend's sister aid she never wanted to ever be with a man She talked a lot about wanting to get it on with another woman and was totally repulsed by the male anatomy. I guess she was may be 11 at the time and as she go older she never changed he point of view. Well, we all grow up and move on and it was years later, mid 1970s IIRC her brother had chased me down to where I was living in Nevada and we caught up on stuff. I asked about his brother and sisters and got the general he's doing fine, sisters are married, you know the usual. Being curious about the oldest sister I asked about her and he told me she was married to her wife. Guess she was wired to be that way literally from birth.

A few years back I ran into my friend's middle sister on Facebook. My friend and his brother were killed in a boating accident when caught in a storm. Her oldest sister, the lesbian and her youngest sister also now dead. Of the five siblings she's the only one still above ground. Haven't heard from her in almost a year so I wonder if she's even still alive? Kind of sad as AFAIK, I've outlived every one of my friends that I grew up with.
