Wife and I were at the Canyon last year and did Guano point also. Did you go on the Glass overlook? Creepy but a unique experience especially when a Hawk flew under me. Hope you and yours had a Great time. We did.

We flew into Vegas and rented a car to explore with. We had seen many of the main sites before but hit Hoover Dam, Red Rock Canyon, Death Valley, The Sequoias (long one day round trip drive), Valley of Fire, London Bridge, Lake Mead and lots of other sites in our 2 week journey

My Son and his wife and 2 girls are on the Colorado now and have been for almost a week, I don't know how many times they have floated the Canyon, they have a great time on the river, they will send pic's when they get back to Durango.. Rio7

Prefer the north rim myself

The higher elevation pine forests...cooler temps....few less peeps......a few

Maybe catch a glimpse of the Bison herd that hangs out near there

Anyone ever see the wolves ??

I swear I herd them last October at daybreak......just north of park...here in pic

I was at the North Rim just before they opened this year. Playing HAM radio from my truck. I travel through Jacobs Lake multiple times a year. Like Tikka said, beautiful place in the pines.
