Anyone know where to get really heavy duty gloves? The kind I used to buy from Kelley (before Mann Lake bought them) were heavy steer hide, a starched collar around the wrist ( non vented) then the usual canvas sleeve with elastic at the end.
Can't find these now anywhere and the yellow jackets/hornets are kicking my ass!
Appreciate it!
Dan

I get my gloves from Mann Lake and like them vented. Here's a non-vented glove https://www.mannlakeltd.com/protective-gear/economy-cowhide-leather-beekeeping-gloves/ Don't know if this will work for you.

WTH do you do with yellow jackets and hornets that require gloves?

This reminds me, I gotta go hit the yellow jacket nest in my pickup tailgate latch.

Thanks Doug. No, those won't cut it with the YJs. They sting right through the wrist area. Thanks though

I harvest live nests for the venom. They don't have much of a sense of humor about it ..

What is it used for?

Agree with the welders gloves. Use them here. Harbor Freight ones do fine.

It's been a long time since I've employed them directly.

I've used the rubber gloves from these guys for killing wasp nests and have had no problems.

Put on the suit and gloves and go to town.
No chemicals, just rip and crush by hand...kinda satisfying.

Thats gotta be time consuming, milking yellowjackets for venom... Is it done similarly to how they collect snake venom?
