Good burger and fries.
Hint of shìt in the air.

Not allowed to walk through the runways and look in the pens anymore. Darn lawyers!

I take calves to the sale when they’re heavy enough. Always a pretty good bunch of folks there. Our sale barn has a killer cafe with home cooked meals and deserts. The grandkids always liked going if they were not in school that day.

Always more interesting when they put up a fight.

Stepson went to S Louisiana in the extreme drought area to an auction and they bought cattle for 1/2 what they sell for here. 3 weeks ago.

Went to a restaurant and asked for a hot beef sandwich and they looked like WTF?

I've been to the cattle auction at the Fort Worth Stock Show - WHEW!!!!! People bidding serious money for hand-raised cattle.

Not recently. I used to go to one or more each fall in search of 5 weight feeders. Usually bought a pot load. And a piece of pie at the restaurant. Gotta have the pie!

Would sometimes go when I had fats being sold. Got pie then too.

I've hauled a bunch of critters to the stockyards but have never actually gone in and watched the sale.

Prices down this week in this area. Wheat pastures will change that. Some folks are dusting it in.
