Hi all,

Just pulling up to the campfire to say hi and introduce myself. I came up with the username since I love to cook, especially on the smoker, and I started in healthcare as an EMT. I love hunting, fishing, cooking, a little bit if woodworking, messing around with the kiddos, and am looking to get into shooting a but more with my father while he is still around. Hope ya'll have a fantastic week.

Cheers,
SmokeMedic

I see you are from Northeast Indiana. I had lived in Northwest Indiana for work, like 30 minutes from downtown Chitcago. Your area of Indiana is a lot better than mine was.

some folks here will just think you're a noob to be made fun of.

maybe you are.

We have a saying, thanks to one of our members, around these parts............................pics or it didn't happen.

Don't be braggin' if you can't show pictures.....................worse yet would be to post other's pics as your own.

And above all....................be nice to the boomers

Warsaw here. Welcome!
Hunting, fishing, cooking, woodworking, messing around with the kiddos, and looking to get into shooting with your father are all better uses of your time than communicating with people like us here.

Wouldn't NW Indiana be closer to Chicago?

I bought a few of guns from them back in the 80's & 90's. Don't think they are still in business.

To bad they are gone. I was in there as a kid, late 60s-early 70s. All sorts of cool milsurp, mini bikes, they had it all. Had a black bear in a cyclone fence cage out front as I remember.

My family lived in Indiana for a short time, went to Boone Grove school 4th-8th grade.

Welcome to the 24hcf Smoke!

You need to get calluses around some of these dedicated curmudgeons. Not all are total jerkwads.

Shouldn’t you first tell him how many STD’s you’ve had before you date?

Beav, you know that Paul can only count using his fingers and toes, so he can't count that high.

Anything over 18 is beyond his capabilities.

Well I own a glock thanks to a sweet deal from my BIL on his sheriff's department trade in....but I personally prefer a 1911 and am just saving up to buy one eventually.

Personal preference is no beans or light on the beans but I love food and will eat whatever chili you put in front of me.

How'd I do?

Yep, our bustling downtown intersection still has that big old cement statue of Oscar. Just took a picture of my kids on it on Halloween this year.

The classifieds is what I found initially, but it seems like a pretty busy place with a lot of different boards I'm interested in so figured I'd do my usual intro at a new forum. Hoping to learn a thing or two as I build my first two rifles, start reloading and target shooting more.

For the record, the people who hang out in the AR& Tactical and the various Reloading forums below are generally more serious and sensible than the looney's up here. (although not as entertaining).
