As long as it is appreciated.

Just the difference in Long Island and Texas.

Sorry, but we could tie a 100 foot rope to you, and drag you to death in a day's time... laugh

And no, I don't dislike Yankees. I have a couple of Yankee friends... grin

a shame thats news worthy. folks used to do this all the time. The knowledge is waning.

looks like around here for the most part too. just finished welding a contraption to pull wheel bearings off the toyota axle and press them back on a few weeks ago. works good. most I suspect would have no idea. did have to go get the 3rd O2 regulator of my life though... the acetylene one is years old... from the 70s. But the others blow out now and then.

You guys are probably more handy with a welder than I am.

I try not to weld or build fence unless I HAVE to... grin

Hanco looks like quite the hand with metal of any sort!

Sounds like he built you some grandchildren so you're likely still behind on the deal.
Posted By: Jim1611 Re: At son in laws today - 12/24/23
Hanco I have heard you bloom where you're planted. Plain to see where that happened for you and good for you and others. Looks like the grandkids are growing up in the country too. Nothing better in my book. I sure like the barbecue you built, is that a reverse smoker? Tell me a little more about it please. Merry Christmas to you and yours too.
Posted By: slumlord Re: At son in laws today - 12/24/23
That seed roller is sweet. I’m saving a 50 gal water heater for a similar build.
Posted By: blindshooter Re: At son in laws today - 12/24/23
Hanco will not be forgotten, most of that stuff will be around for a couple lifetimes....
Posted By: Jim_Conrad Re: At son in laws today - 12/24/23
By "saving" you mean have you eye on one in the garbage ditch?
Posted By: Alan_C Re: At son in laws today - 12/24/23
Great job on the projects!! Maybe a teardrop trailer in the future??? Merry Christmas!

I get a lot of small pieces at the scrap yard. I built some racks for them, repaired some of their equipment. They let me buy it by the pound.

I buy plate new for the most part

I have friends that keep an eye out for pieces of metal

Naw man, people seek me out. Already have it, cousin brought it by and dropped it off. It’s survived 2 runs to the shredder yard already.

Just great for roll packing turnip seed and clover down in the food plots

Nope. Got a granddaughter that seems like she is gonna marry a nice young man from a family Boerne Texas. They have a lot of land in West Texas. She is going to nursing school. She loves to hunt.

Lots of good lookers in Texas, I’d say Houston and Dallas Fort Worth areas have the best

Stuff looks great hanco. You remind me of my late father in law, he did a lot of similar stuff for me. I miss that man more than I miss my own father.

I got a nice little cabin on my place you can come and stay as long as you like....

I need to google or find details on that dirt drag. hogs on our place are fairly new unfortunately and I had time to slap together a kind of drag for the wife to use. never dawned on me to do a 3 point. Maybe in the next couple of years I'll have to build one. I sure hate hogs. But not much you can do once they arrive. We had been really lucky for many years....

It works well! If you get leaves or roots hung up, pick it up. It has a piece that bolts on with teeth also. I borrow it, use it with teeth to plant food plots in East Texas. These places have been planted many times, so the sand is soft anyway

I don’t know what will come up if you google that? Kevin complained about the roots so I told him to buy a 3 point hook up, welded it on the drag I built him. It’s like this I made for friend in Madisonville a couple of months ago, then put three point thang on it. It sure slicked up my driveway
