I have no idea what kind of guy he is or his politics but seems like he's made a lot of good movies. Have a favorite?

All his movies are good. But my favorite is probably "Blood Diamond"
Wasnt he that feller that drownded on the Titanic?

Would agree with that. My wife would watch Titanic every night of the week if she could…..

The Aviator
He’s a Commie Socialist Libertard POS, like 95% of the so-called Hollyweird stars.

Only movie I’ve seen that was good with him in it was “Gangs of New York”

What's difficult is they all seem like completely different genres.

I forgot about that one.

The Departed was pretty good.

I liked Gangs of New York. Even tho they took excessive liberties with some of the historical facts. The US Navy never bombed NYC with naval gunfire.

I liked it for Bill the Butcher. Not Dicaprio.
Posted By: colodog Re: Leonardo DiCaprio Movies - 01/07/24
Don't Look Up on Amazon is worth watching.
The Departed was good. Gangs of NY was good too.

DiCaprio is similar to Sean Penn as far as being a leftist but a good actor that has played a range of characters convincingly.

did you ever think in an industry controlled by communist jews and in order to make millions he has to go along with the curriculum? think he would be working if he walked around on a set with a Hitler t-shirt? any guy that constantly dates young models is OK in my book plus his facial expressions used in memes are the best

Always thought he’d be good in a remake of "For whom The Bell Tolls"

The Revenant

Gangs of New York

he must be a tough bastard making the movie the revenant being half the film crew quit in he middle of the movie cause it was so cold with ice and snow

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood was good, but Brad Pitt kinda stole his thunder in that one.
The Revenant is sort of artsy-wonky like the Director but Tom Hardy is great in it.

Next time you watch it look early in the movie when DeCaprio sitting down cleaning his gun, argues with Hardy and turns to talk to his Indian son. His hog bristle pan brush for his flintlock is hanging on the strap of his shooting bag where it would be...

....it is brand new, never been used, just came out of the plastic wrapper I imagine, I had one just like it.

The one where he goes down on the ice queen...

Nope kidding. Never saw it.... Big fan of the hoisting a drink meme though!

Yep. Bill the Butcher was probably Daniel Day-Lewis‘s best character portrayal, and his character in Last of the Mohicans, his next best role.

He did. Great scene near the end when he went berserk. LoL

Blood diamond is one of my all time favorites. I knew many south Africans and Rhodesians from that time period and I think he captured their attitudes very well.

Don’t like his politics but found these movies entertaining.

Blood Diamond
The Revenant
Quick and the Dead
Wolf of Wallstreet
Django
Body of Lies

+1
Killers of the Flower Moon was too long and boring but DeCaprio sure disappeared into his role as that complex, thoroughly unlikeable character.

Absolutely. A great movie.

In The Name of the Father was another great one.

I thought it was good. Not what you expect. True story. Look it up and read the description. 😉
He did a good job in Django Unchained but his part was far fetched. The final shootout was absurd.

He’s a decent actor. But like this and others have said, he rarely is the best actor in any of his movies. Daniel Day Lewis’s portrayal of Bill the Butcher makes Gangs of New York a good movie. In the Revenent, Tom Hardy is much more believable as a mountain man. But he is good just not on that same level as those two.

That being said I also enjoyed The Departed, inception, and Shutter Island.

I liked Inception as well as many listed.

I like a lot of Tom Cruise movies too. Even though I know the guy is a fruit loop.

Inception was one of those movies where if you went to take a leak, you were lost. But still a good movie.

I think Leo has done a lot of good flicks, he’s not necessarily the best actor there, but he does a great job letting the great actors be great (him and Nicholson in The Departed, for example).

I think HIS best movie was Wolf of Wall Street (not a good movie for Boomers that don’t like foul language).

Yeah, sure, he’s a lefty, but Jeez, I’d rather hang out with him than Sean Penn……
Posted By: muleshoe Re: Leonardo DiCaprio Movies - 01/07/24
The Quick and the Dead has got to be in the top ten stupidest movies ever made. He played his part well, but good grief that movie was stupid.

One of my favorites of his was Catch Me If You Can.

No, but about 20 years ago my buddy who has a car service company had one of his workers call out last minute. He had to leave the office to cover a ride, as he still did occassionally.

At teterboro in NJ small private plane. In comes Leo Dicaprio and a smokin hot model.

My buddy says she's blabbing about wanting to go here there yada yada. says leo is rollin his eyes, asks to have her dropped off at some party in NYC and him and dicaprio drive around. Said he was cool as [bleep], was joking about no matter how hot that chick is you get sick of their [bleep], and he just needed a few hours away from all the [bleep]. Said he had ZERO pomp or dooshiness. Asked him about his business and family, good places to go.

Thats the only story i got on him.

He's probably a hollywood doosh anyway.

I used to not really like Tom Cruise as a person but after Top Gun Maverick I'm really starting to like the guy and really respect his movie making abilities. Maverick was great and entertaining and didn't have an anti american leftist propaganda element to it like so many newer movies. It was a good throw back to what movies are supposed to do and that is to entertain and inspire.

I think Tom has matured as a person and seems like a genuinely decent man. I could be wrong though because he is a good actor. He used to get branded as a little extreme because of his stance on vaccines but his skepticism on vaccines has aged well since covid.

Django unchained is showing nightly for free on the streets of west Chicago nightly. Stroll on down and take it in. Don't complain if a contemporary "Django" puts a .40 through your Caucasian head.

Django Unchained my azz. White people will pay to watch the biggest bunch of anti Caucasian bullshit ever conceived.

Then talk about what a great movie it is.

"A new movie is out! It's about a bad azz Negro murdering white people! I've got to see it! Here's my $10,...here's another $10 for 14 cents worth of popcorn!"

Fuggin' hell. Give me a break.
