gotta have some twang to it. nunthat bro country stuff

"Country" music is watered down Bluegrass. This is where it come from.

Found a good station seeking around on the radio in my '05 K1500 today while driving across WI. It's 98.5 classic country fm, or 900 am. Seriously good vintage stuff. I'm going to see how it comes in on the WAY older than me am tube radio from Grandpa's house tonight.
I don't know why, I can't post youtube.
Of ffs.

And bluegrass comes from old English ballads.
When crank collides with Bluegrass, the tempo goes up right smart!

Some of his best stuff was done just hanging out in the back yard.

Channel 61 on satellite radio. Willie's Roadhouse. Country music from my misguided youth.

He is ridiculously talented. I watched his cover of Led Zeppelin's Ramble On the other night. He's got reach.

The Romans knew there was a difference.

Bristoe nails it as per usual.
Waylon back before people knew him as "Waylon",...when he sported a pomp.

"Only Daddy that'll walk the line" was a big hit way back before "Luckenbach Texas".

Yep. Probably one of her best, other than โ€œBlueโ€.

My favorite country guy was always Jimmy Dale Gilmore. My friends hated it whenever I played it because he was too twangy for them. He's a great musician with great lyrics but his voice isn't for everyone. I believe his album Spinning Around The Sun is the best country album of the last 4 decades or so.

I also used to listen to quite a bit of Ian Tyson. I've just not really ever been much into mainstream pop country that seems to be popular today. I did like some early 90s mainstream guys like Clint Black or Mark Chesnut and maybe Chis Laduex or however you spell it. Since that time period I just haven't liked much that plays on the country radio stations.
