Was at the local Cabela's/Bass Pro and there was not even a spot on the reloading aisle for powder or primers. Have they stopped carrying powder and primers ? I didn't want to wait in line at the gun counter to ask.
Mine has plenty.
Only thing i get from Basspro is banana moonpies and mepps lures…
Cabelas, Gonzales, LA, has more powder than previous. Even some primers, just no large rifle primers.

So things are slowly improving.

They are behind the counter, under the guns, at my BPS.

Briefly........
Feb11th. Cabelas Triadelphia / Wheeling WV had plenty of primers and powder on the shelf. New normal prices. H4831SC, I4350, H1000, I think. I was surprised at the variety.
They're behind the counter at the ones close to me. I did stop at a local shop the other day that I rarely get in. They had plenty. Still high but available, I was in pretty decent shape on most but I did pick up 2k large magnum pistol primers for 89 each. Shop even had a couple cans of Blackhorn on the counter
Some wizzard.....
>Haha, Bats! Can you solve my riddle this time?
>I’m loud and obnoxious, I like rhythm and rhyme, I’m a fraction of the population, but commit HALF the crimes
>Who am I?
>Oh, Bats! Haha! You can’t say the answer. Quite typical, you know. So predictable, that figures. The answer is simple, its all of the

Here in Montana, the reloading aisle at Cabelas hasn't had powder or primers for several years now. At the Cabelas here, the powder and primers, which are in good supply, are behind the gun counter and have been for 3 or 4 years.

Prices gotten so high, They're worried about people walking off with it.
The Noblesville, IN Cabelas keeps primers and powder behind the counter. Take a number, boomer.

Absolutely true l_d. Interestingly enough, Scheel's, here, has put their primers back out where they used to be, right next to the other components. Powder, however, is still in back.
My local Cabela's/Bass Pro Shops for the last few weeks has dad a good supply of small and large pistol primers, including magnums, and shotgun primers. Large rifle and large magnum rifle primers not in stock. These are all behind the gun counter. Until recently, powder was kept there as well. Powder is now on the showroom floor in the reloading section. Not a great selection of powders, but a fair amount. Still no H-4895 nor any IMR 4895 that I have been looking for. I don't think I have ever seen any Alliant powders there for sale, only the various Hodgdon family brands.
What's up with it being behind the counter? The Cabelas here has never had them behind the counter. All powder and primers are on the shelf where they have always been.
Our local Cabelas has always had them behind the gun counter. For as long as I remember anyways...

triple vaxed boomers like wizard. always 3 years behind the times
My local Cabelas had primers and 8 pound jugs of H4350…. Well one less now! Plenty of H110, lil’ gun, VV of different flavors, lots of IMR powders.

I learned the hard way that you don't have to wait your turn at the counter to simply ask a question. The line is strictly for purchasing a firearm.
Lots of each at the local BPS.
What a coincidence - I was at mine just Sunday. Aisle and a half of primers and powder, including 2 end caps. I didn't get any tho. Did score about 15,000 rounds of 22lr for a good price.
Cabela’s in Hamburg, PA has lots of powder (no RL’s, Varget or Retumbo) and very few primers (pistol and small rifle).
Cabelas/Basspro in Greenville SC has plenty of powder. H series, IMR, AA, Ramshot, they had a couple 8lb Retumbo jugs. No Alliant powder. No Large Rifle primers, only Small rifle. However, another small gun shop in the area had plenty of Alliant powder, RL 19, 15, 22, just to name a few. 70 dollars per lb
Charleston Wv Cabelas just recently moved all the powder and primers out to the aisle shelves. They had been behind the counter since that store opened. They have lots of both at the moment.

Don't forget Massengill and Summers Eve. Querying the girl behind the drug counter as to why they had those products behind the counter resulted in her answer of " Because the nxxxxx women keep stealing it".

Some years ago, Cabela's at one end of town had powder and primer on display out on the floor, while the Cabela"s at the other end of town had it hidden behind the counter and in the back room. I complained and was told the Fire Marshal for the county mandated they do it that way. Then I complained about waiting in line to ask for powder, and the rude dude showed me a list at the far end where you could look to see what's in stock. I guess then you would have to take a number to get someone to go get it. Eventually I learned Murdochs Farm Supply was a better source for reloading stuff.
BPS here keeps primers behind the counter. Powder is on the shelves. Not high jacking prices either. Somewhat normal.

My BPS does the same thing, powder out on the shelves, and primers behind the counter. You have to ask for the primers, but you don't have to take a number to do so. Just interrupt someone behind the counter and ask. They will grab what you want and hand it to you.
Local Cabelas has half aisle of pounder powder and most primer sizes (not all brands) on the shelf, I thought they were somewhat overpriced above the current market.

Stopped by a week or two ago - the shelf was pretty full, stopped again on Saturday - primers were down to 1/4 or less of what had been there.
Wait,

aren't they on the OCBL?

People still shop there???
Dundee, MI Cabela's has plenty. 'Cept magnum rifle primers.

I think Ballistol isn't on the List yet.

Hint.
Okay, so L stands for list.
The two Cabelas down in the Twin Cities have powder and primers (even Remington large rifle the last time I was there). The one has both out on the shelf while the other keeps it behind the counter but towards the end. Last time I was there I wanted their only bottle of 8208 and when I asked, the clerk told me to walk around and grab it myself. I didn't like the price but it was enough to finish off my remaining 69 gr Matchkings.

Buy online

Split haz mat/shipping with a bud

Better off

Screw cabelas
Asked the counter goon for IMR 4350 and after 10 minutes in the back room he returns with H4350. Claimed that was the only kind of 4350 they ever had ?
You should be in a home somewhere.

Sheesh.

Was at the Las Vegas one last week, most H1000 I’ve seen in one place in a few years.
