Anyone know of a book that would detail how things went in countries that experienced the collapse of their monetary system? A perspective from an average citizen would ideal. It would be nice to have some insight from people who lived through what we will probably experience in the not to distant future.

I have not read anything that was written strictly from that perspective, but Phillip Haslam's When Money Destroy's Nations has a lot of content from people who were there. It is about Zimbabwe's money printing.

Weimer Germany's hyperinflation is probably the best documented but honest accounts of how it came about are rare for (((reasons))).
