The Colorado House Judiciary Committee has approved a rather draconian AWB that can now move to the floor vote in the House.
Last year basically the same bill was defeated in the Committee with some asute manuvering by pro 2nd A advocates. This year the AWB bill made it out of the Committee.
While the Democrats have super majorities in both the House and Senate this fight is far from over. Points of leverage would be the House Leadership, Senate Leadership, and Governors office. If you have some time please write them or call their offices as it does matter on a 2nd Amendment issue. This was proven with last years defeat of the same bill.
Right now the bill does not have a Senate sponsor so is vulnerable and there is a pretty good chance it won't make it to even Committee in the Senate and it's very possible the House Leadership won't put it on the floor if the public outrage continues.
Don't be dumb but this is a hot button issure even for Liberal Colorado and politians are getting a lot of contact right now to stop this AWB.
