Am I a crusty old California boomer loser with a bad attitude? Or was this laying on a bit thick?
The account I read said the bridge cops were notified of the impending collision, they came to the conclusion the bridge should be immediately closed to traffic....which they did...heroically. Will they receive medals for bravery? Or perhaps for being awake at 01:30 hrs?
I don't know if I'd call it heroic. That term is WAY overused. Was thinking it fortunate they were even in the area but then - I wonder if they're often there as a suicide reaction team?
That's there J O B. If $hit hits the fan.
The terms heros has been over rated since corona. Hell target had a sign up saying now hiring hero’s and this was a few months back. If they sped to the bridge whipped the car around in front of oncoming traffic I can see that.
So, they did their jobs. The word "Hero" is thrown around so much by the news that it's true meaning has been severely diluted.
They were awake and they did their job.

Two pluses and all in a row.

Metals?

Nah. Probably not.

Right place at the right time I'd say
The account I read in the Western Journal said one cop volunteered to warn the road workers...but they decided there was not enough time.
I want to see an interview with the guy who went off the bridge into the drink and declined medical treatment.
Diversity hires?
I'll just assume that with workers "filling potholes" during slow hours the police were already there as they are in many construction zones. Sitting with the lights flashing, one on each end of the construction???

That might explain the somewhat quick reaction?
