When I was younger there was a candy that came out around Easter called Hummingbird Eggs. They were like Red Hots except they were many different colors and they were fruit flavored. They were always my favorite Easter candy. But I haven’t seen them in over 3 decades.

Jelly beans. Red ones are the best, but the mix needs a few black ones to be complete. Malted milk eggs will make a guy sick, but are good right up to that point. 🫤

I must admit to being perfectly happy if all the jelly beans are black though. I could deal with it. If not all black, then Jelly Belly mix, except I tend to spit out the coconut ones. Yuck

Chocolate, as long as it is as dark as can be. Once one reaches the age of 12 there should be no need or desire for milk chocolate. It's to make chocolate palatable for babies ya know.

Malted eggs!

The citrus flavored Brach's jelly beans have always been my favorite. Orange, yellow, and green. The reds are OK, the blacks and whites go in the trash.
And Peeps.

It’s all good especially if you’re diabolical/ diabetic. We like
Heavenly Hash, Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs, Peeps, Jelly Beans and Robin Eggs malted milk balls. Goo Goo Clusters are fine also. Hope to have a scratch made coconut sour cream cake for Easter. Been craving one for a long time.

When my boy was about 4 we were driving back from my parents house on Easter eve, a rabbit ran out in front of me and I smucked it, I hear a small angry voice from the back seat "YOU JUST KILLED THE EASTER BUNNY!!!" The wife and I couldn't help but laugh and he says "IT AIN"T FUNNY! DAD KILLED THE EASTER BUNNY AND NOW THERE'S NO EASTER!"

He went on and on about how I killed the Easter bunny, until the next morning when Easter came.

As others have said - jelly beans. Cheap ones are best. No spiced ones. I'll trade the black ones for any other flavor.
