Anyone having trouble getting Mounjaro.
Does anyone have a source?

I've been hearing bout nationwide shortage of insulin. Not sure about the GIP/GLP-1 receptor drugs. I know there's a huge demand.
Being used as a weight loss drug for the rich and famous and being denied to diabetics. A shame right there.
Some insulin has been renamed just for weight loss.
Other diabetic insulin have a " code" to give diabetics a priority over the weight lose use.

MD prescribed it for me last week, I need it for diabetes control, not weight loss. Local pharmacy said it's on backorder, clerk said she hasn't seen any in months.

Call your doc and tell him he's gonna have to write a different script. There are numerous diabetic drugs on the market. I'm Type 2 and take Metformin ER per my current docs evaluation/prescription. It's so cheap that it should be free, keeps my sugar at about 120 and my A1C at 6. My first script after being diagnosed by a different doc had me on a daily injectable that was incredibly expensive. He also believed in single payer/guvment provided insurance. I kicked him to the curb.
Wife uses it for diabetic issue. It has been easier to get than Ozempic and seems to work better.
Ozempic is the one that was most used for weight loss but Monjouro has been discovered....

Exactly what the Democrat voters wanted.
The 100% cure for diabetes is stop eating too much, stop eating sugar, start moving.

Exactly what Lilly and the drug salesman wanted.
Judging from the name...maybe it's imported from Tanzania...Kill-a-Mounjaro. Tanzanian FDA tested it on monkeys I bet.
I'm diabetic, I get it through Express Scripts with no trouble.
I was 280 and my A1C was 11 in November.
Down to 220-225 at the moment and A1C is down to 5.
Starting to feel like a person again

It is. I did it. Figured if eating too much was the problem, the opposite had to be true. Lost 65 lbs in 8 months. Off my diabetic med's completely since then. Cut my blood pressure med's in half. No more triglyceride issues. One tablespoon ACV before bedtime drops my glucose by 40 points and I sleep like a baby.
Mounjaro, Ozempic, etc .... all of them stay in short supply or outright backorder.
If they ever get some in stock ask about getting a 90 DAY SUPPLY
Wife has just started taking it for diabetes. I hope it helps her drop some lbs also.
My old man will be all over that if it allows him to demolish a 1/2 gal of Bryer’s Boomer Butter Pecan every night with Fox news blaring on volume 100
There's a pharmacy in Idaho Falls that compounds what's basically a generic version in their pharmacy every week and sells it to locals who use it for weight loss at a discount. Most insurance won't cover it for weight loss so they compound it for much cheaper. It can still cost a few hundred a month cash price. I can get you their number if you want. My wife sends some of her patients there.

The daughter's boyfriend is a pharmacist that works in a compounding pharmacy. The wife has been taking it and has lost some Lbs. I'm sure there are other compounding pharmacies making a generic version as well.
Even with Medicare supplement insurance it still costs $1,500/month.

Yeah that'll get my fùcking pancreas working again. Wish I had thought of that 38 years ago.
Type 1 vs Type 2
Two different demons. Type 1 hereditary, nothing you could have done. Especially since youngsters are so frequently presenting. Type 2 has a lot of customers in the morbidly obese category. Preventable or easily controllable. Lots of medical issues that are really life choices.
