Wtf is that?

There is no such thing as bad BBQ, mind you. But "best brisket" is like "fastest second-place runner."

That crap looks like a good Texas brisket about as much as Cornyn looks like a conservative Republican Senator.

It might have been good before they covered it up with all that baby chit
Posted By: MadMooner Re: Texas Brisket - 04/01/24
Looks like sliced up pork steak smothered in some kind of tomato sauce.

Bet it tastes good. 🤷‍♂️

Looks like meatloaf

Brisket should be cut into and blended into hamburger
Posted By: Brokenarrow Re: Texas Brisket - 04/01/24
Here's how it's supposed to look. IIRC These were done for a church dinner.

Gahhhhh dam that sauce

Looks like something off of a Chinee buffet

My old German adopted grandpaw cooked his brisket like that. I could never understand why? But he liked it like that. So I suppose that’s why. But Hell, he was born in 1892. It really didn’t taste all that bad.

I know I prepare my brisket the way I like it. And the kids and grandkids like it the way I make it. And the important thing is I can chew it with my less than stellar teeth.

It's some $hit cooked in an oven in a pyrex dish. Guess that's what they serve in D.C. On an aside, stopped at a little BBQ place in a small town in Virginia, coming back to Richmond from the James Madison mansion and got some brisket that would have held up to anything we got here in Texas.

Anyone remember that Mannlicker has a Pyrex collection? Of course you do unless incessant Gunsmoke reruns have rendered your brain styrofoam.

He will nut and spin around on the floor like Curley stooge

Cornyn. Liberal POS. RINO>. Needs to go. And that doesn't even look great. Why all the sauce covering it up. Good bbq needs no sauce. I have a recipe from a world champ. I wouldn't dare put sauce on it. May as well drown it in ketchup.

I thought that but he has posted it before. I think he actually cooks it that way.

I made brisket once.

It was a bad idea— apparently there is some skill involved.

My son’s porks ribs have prevailed.

No more brisket will be damaged at this house.

Zero skill really. But you do have to follow a certain path or it will be tough beef for sure.

Good friend tried moose brisket because it looked so good when we cut it off. He KNOWS how to BBQ. That was a failure LOL
