I enjoy motorsports. We have a fantastic road course here in NOLA. We don't get top level events, but we host some good racing nonetheless. There will be some Trans Am and GT races over the course of the weekend. Attendees have direct access to the teams and drivers. It can be interesting talking to some of the starry eyed young drivers who have aspirations of making it big. Most of them are very polite, respectful and have good heads on their shoulders. The scenery at some of the races last year was pretty good.

That's a nice track- it has a "long straight" where vehicles can stretch their legs. Something very lacking in most places where they have 'track days' for motorcycles.
Talladega GP motorcycle track/Robling Road South Carolina/Barber N.Alabama/NoProblem Raceway West of New Orleans never hit 5th gear on any of them.

It's gettin warm, and pervy paul is only getting started.

The ticket takers were perving. I walked up to get the ticket I bought online, and chatted with the two ladies. They asked if I got VIP parking. I said I am obviously a VIP but didn't get the VIP parking. One of them then asked if I was married. I put my hand on her shoulder and said "are you shopping?" She said "I saw those legs while you were walking up." I started laughing. She said "those are nice ones." I laughed again and mentioned that I hear that from African American women often. She said "well, that's what we look at. We want those nice legs, and we like those muscles too."

Testing and qualifying today. More qualifying in the morning, then racing Saturday afternoon and Sunday. There's a gun show at a venue right by the track. I'll probably hit it on the way in the morning.

My day is off to a good start already. The butcher cut me two chuck eyes, and I had a moment with the checker that resulted in us sharing a hug. On top of that my wife said she wanted to make me some breakfast. One of the usuals at the gun show is picture worthy, but they don't allow photos in the gun show.

Weather was perfect today. Racing wasn't overly exciting. There was a lot of attrition in the main event. Tomorrow should be better.

This bad boy was cranking out 900 horsepower. It sang one hell of a sweet song winding through the gears.



There were some oddballs in some of the events. This odd beauty was wicked fast on the straights, but slow in the corners.



22 year old Kaylee Bryson won her class.



All the other drivers had their full names emblazened on there cars. Not this kid. Just "Bacon." Bacon came in third. The winner of his race was 14.
