I have received inflammatory pricks from sand burrs, rose bushes, an porcupines. Can anybody think of any other Inflammatory Pricks?

Well, I suppose it could be construed that way, good point.

In a backwards kind of way, cactus has gotten ms as well.
Then there was the time I held a nail gun backwards and nearly got nasty Inflammatory Prick.

Stinging nettles...those will stay with ya for awhile....mesquite thorns can be in a class to themselves...If you don't get them removed...kinda like trolls...they'll make you swell up...grin

I've never mistook a handgun for a hair drier so the posters here on my ignore list are the only pricks I have had to deal with lately. My ignore lest is very exclusive. Only two. Who knows if they are a couple?
Posted By: Tom264 Re: Inflammatory Pricks - 10/13/08
Not necessarily a prick, but inflammatory.........Chiggers, and Roids.
Posted By: let_me_in Re: Inflammatory Pricks - 10/13/08
A fish hook has to be extracted backwards, and gives you an Inflammatory Prick.
Posted By: Colorado1135 Re: Inflammatory Pricks - 10/13/08
I have had fishooks that have had to go all the way forwards in order to come out. they got sunk that deep

I wish!
I was opening the package and it stuck, so I pulled hard. sunk it in my finger til it hit bone.
we pulled over and grabbed some band aids and rediwhip in a can.
I used the nitrous oxide from the can to help dull the pain, and my brother grabbed a pliers and got it off the bone and pushed her through the other side. we bandaged it up and continued up the road to go fishing.
I even caught a few that day smile
it was my last day home on leave and nothing was keeping us from hittin the trout streams

Please understand, I'm chucklin with ya and not at ya. That is a great account of a trip that you will talk to your grand kids about.

Good one, a prime example of an Inflammatory Prick that needs to come out backwards.

cat bite almost lost my arm from a bite on my hand, Three months of constant severe pain and antibotics through an iv and 4 surgeries and 5 differant Dr's later I was cured.

the cat is now in cat hell.

I recall an Inflammatory Prick from a sliver off of a threaded stainless steel pipe nipple. That Inflammatory Prick also had to be extracted backwards.
Posted By: Bristoe Re: Inflammatory Pricks - 10/23/08
My wife the nurse came home talkin' about one she saw that looked like a dog had bit it.

It was more "inflamed" than "inflammatory",... but I suppose it could pass it along of both parties were brave enough.
Posted By: let_me_in Re: Inflammatory Pricks - 10/23/08
Great example... the dog that is, of an inflammatory prick, that requires a backwards extraction.
Posted By: kaboku68 Re: Inflammatory Pricks - 10/23/08
Scabies.

They are like Chiggers on steroids.
Posted By: let_me_in Re: Inflammatory Pricks - 10/23/08
Scabies is also an apt comparison.

Devil's Club. Wait about 3 days and you can pop 'em right out along with the pus.
Posted By: let_me_in Re: Inflammatory Pricks - 10/23/08
Yeah, pus will make ya look backwards.

Splinter from green treated lumber. Skin deep is no problem but one under the skin brings much dismay and discomfort.

Had a steel splinter in my eye once. That was no fun. A whole lot of no fun!

And for all you smartasses, no, I coulnd't see it...

I got stuck in the eyes with a broom when I was a kid. Had to wear these Stevie Wonder glasses for a week or so. Another vote for devils club, and sliding down a hill into a bunch of prickly pear can suck too....

Been there, done that, and agree it was no fun at all having the eye specialist suck that sliver off of my cornea with a big needle. eek

Steel splinters and turnings. Wood splinters. Lots of little bug thing bites.

Canadian and Russian thistle around here. Also sneaky, low growing prickly pear. I usually find them kneeling down. The little stinkers hide in the grass.

My understanding is that a mantis is capable of an inflammatory prick.
