Just saw this on our local news.
You have to hand it to Bloomberg. He know what it costs to shelter the homeless ($36,000/year)so he offers them 1-way tickets out of the city to the homeless, with the stipulation that they never return to NY.
The average airfare (bus or trainfare) is $218, but he's sent a family of 4 to Paris ($6200) and another family to Africa.
Unfortunately, North Carolina is one of the more popular places to land, so now it's our problem.
