Hi,
I just found and joined this site and I thought I would start off by asking this question. With an old Winchester rifle, how much do the special order features add to the value of the gun? Is it worth more if it has more then one special order feature?
Thanks,
Big Ralph
1894 is worth about a dollar. You should sent to me!! I'll put her to good use...

Thanks in advance!

PS---Welcome BR
Darn,
I was hoping to get at least 5 bucks for it. Maybe in my next life.

Big Ralph, welcome to the Campfire. The question you asked can only be answered by studying the topic. Read two or three good books on the M1894 and visit gunshows that feature lots of old M1894 Winchesters (maybe Tulsa is close to your home). You could take your M1894 to a collector or dealer that offers appraisals. There are too many features, coupled with age and condition to give you an internet answer with the limited info you have given. Try George Madis (The Winchester Book has a wealth of knowledge) and The Winchester Model 94 by Robert C. Renneberg - those two will get you started.
Welcome, Ralph. We have a specialized forum just for lever action rifles. It's down below. Take a look. Here's a link: http://www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/forums/24/1
sell it and buy a Marlin laugh

oh yeah, welcome!
Hi Guys,

Thanks for all the info. I already have the Winchester book and I go shows once in a while, and I have the letter from the Winchester Museum. I never see guns like this one, hence the question. The condition of this gun is super nice. It was taken care of for a long time. I started all three of my kids hunting with it. They called it the Pop gun because it didn't make much of a crack when it went off. It doesn't weigh much and it feels like a kids gun. Like I said it is a 1894 carbine with a serial number around 250,000. It has seven special order features on it and it is a 38-55 caliber. I see guns with one or two special order features but none with this many or a gun in this good of condition. Does this info help?

Thanks,
BR
Posting some pictures would be a good start.
Big Ralph, A Big Welcome to the 'Fire.

There are people here on the 24 Hour Campfire, who can and will be able to help/advise you here if you provide some needed details regarding your rifle.

But you need to go back to the "List of Forums" and post your query there on the "Lever Actions- General" forum section.

Some of the knowledgable Winchester buffs who post "there" ...
may not see your post "here".

Good luk, to Ya'.
Thank you so much. I will post it to that group.
