I'm no pre '64 expert so can't say. I can say for sure at least one was made...the one I'm talking about was in a pawn shop in downtown Boise in 1975. All the standard old mod 70's were running in the $275.00 range. The single .375 they had was ( if I remember correctly ) priced at about $100.00 more. I still wish I'd been able to get that rifle to this day. 19 year old college students don't have that kind of cash and I still don't have what it takes to afford a pre '64 .375. ( big grin )
Redneck, Thanks for the info. Actually I have one and that is why I was curious. Knew they made the other calibers in the 10s of thousands each but thought the 375 might have been done in smaller numbers. TM

Lots of the .300 H&H's were re barreled to the .375 H&H. vary hard to tell if they are original factory chamberings. I have been collecting them for years and the only way to tell for sure is the barrel date matching the serial number before 1955.

Not the rarest chambering in the pre-64 anyway, fare from it actually. the 9mm Mauser has that title, next would be the 7.65mm Argentine.
So what is the value ($) range? My granddad had one, still in his safe though he is gone. And one of my uncles has one. Hopefully they'll never be sold just passed along.

Look in the 3K range, most of the really rare stuff can fetch 10K and up. Like the rare special lite weight thin barrels, the special order models, the heavy barrels, pre-war rifles the 1937 target model with heavy barrels. There are a number of variations.

The Standard Catalog of Firearms seems to say about 14,500 (they have a graph showing numbers produced)

Where can I find a new home(s) for abut 9 of mine at that price? I would even pay the shipping with confirmed funds in the bank. grin
I think 3589 might have been answering the orginal question of how many were produced not my value question...

Shooting Times's "Book of the Winchester" lists the 14,005 production number and gives a value range from $1325 at 60% to $2850 at 100%. It says to add 10% if the rear receiver is not drilled and tapped. That came out in 2007.
