Rub some dirt on that thing. Sure is bright.....grin
That was the maiden voyage. Wanted one similar to the color of yours, but Davis was out of everything but natural when I ordered. They do make a great tent!
They do, and yours looks good. Just had to give ya a hard time about the shiny penny. It'll be tarnished, in no time...
My camp is my house! Hunt about 1/2 mile away, but no elks and mooses, just deer. I'd have to learn how to do all that camp stuff. I like the truck camper idea, but I guess there are a lot of places trucks can't get in to. Definately a lot tougher than out in the wilds of Southern Md.!
Most of the time I drive out to the farm, or one of the National Forests to hunt. The old 4Runner is my camp.
I have everything I need to stay the night if I want to, tent, bedding, food and cooking stuff.

and on the second day of the season my buddy Corey and I floated the river, so our "blind" was a bit different looking:

Thanks for sharing everybody!
this is from last year at the County Line hunting club near scenic Bude, Mississippi. This picture is of the kitchen/bunkhouse, and there are six trailers scattered through the woods behind it. note obligatory coonhound....Mississippi rules require at least one hanging around camp at all times.

What are all those tall green things around those camps? Where are the open fields and whats with all that water? I bet that you guys don't even get to sleep at home. Our camp is a big farm garage with a wood stove and hot meals each day.

Great camp pics. I envy everyone of you.
Open fields, shooting lanes, food plots? Not in Idaho.

The stripper pole goes up

The Pole gets a few bucks on it

Elk on the pole, and a face in the fire

Aside from the money, what is that pole for, is that a small lantern up top?

We setup this camp on the Anisak River in Alaska after we were transported via bush plane for a caribou hunt.

This was our elk camp this year.

Small world. Up until a few years ago my family leased land right there at the lake just south of there.

Now we just keep one in Chipola, LA with the property one the state line and Amite River - just straight south of Liberty, MS in St. Helena parish. It's part of a timber company private lease for employees but they split off the part that didn't fall in MS which worked out well.
My brother and me somehow got excluded from our family's camp a number of years ago after dad left so we vowed we'd someday build our own and the hell with everyone else.

Got it up in '07.

That pole is for the strippers - we found it in a neighboring camp, and painted it gold, the thing on top is a coupling to lengthen the pipe.

Lee stopped by and built that thing whilst I was making coffee one morning, surely appreciated it.

wish I'd taken pix of what was around that fireplace back in '05, it was sight to behold for where it's located.

Thanks Elk.

I'll admit, I look at those tents in admiration. Just looks like those fellas have more fun.

AK, love that set up. I bet you boys have a hell of a good time there.

Good eye. Picked it up off a neighbor for $50 in prime shape. For some reason his wife wanted a pellet stove...*shaking head*

They come faster if you book them ahead of time. Most of them love hunting camp.
