A also saw a guy at the grocery store on Friday with a Sears riding mower with a wagon attached. He loaded the wagon up with his groceries and headed out. Last I saw him he was 1/2 mile away, doing 3mph on the sidewalk.

Holy cow that guy blew a .312 on the breath test!... How could he even be functioning?

Didn't Glen Campbell get a DUI on a lawn tractor too?

My dad used to say that someone was "Punch drunk" when they were really hammered. It seems very appropriate in this case.

Yep, it was "The Possum". A business owner in N'ville bought the mower years later and had it placed up on a steel pole in the parking lot of his business. This happens more then many know. That case did set case law, in this state as far a DUI operation of non-registered motor vehicles, on public roadways.

I've made arrests for both lawnmowers & ATV's of frequent flyers (multiple convictions of DUI) who have either been enroute to a corner store to get more beer or have just left the store with more beer. It's turned into an expensive trip, as Garth says, "B-E-E-R R-U-N".

I once represented a guy whose blood test came back at .33! He was charged with assaulting a cop who was leading him out of a bar.

I knew one guy in college who was pretty lit one night, and decided to stop at his work - he managed a miniature golf course for his finace's father, and had keys and alarm codes to get in.

For some odd reason at 2:00 am he decided he needed to mow the grass. The problem was he was too drunk to tell the difference between grass and carpet.

The next day the course was "closed for rennovations" as he frantically replaced all the carpet he'd mowed the night before, hoping to get it done before his boss/FIL & fiance found out. As far as I recall, they were never the wiser grin
