IMO, the Foodsaver bags are a pit pricey. There's got to be other alternatives out there.

Any suggestions..?
I can help but not much with specifics. Our WalMart carries both FoodSaver and another brand (I'm thinking maybe Rival) and the other brand is about half the cost of the FoodSaver and seem to work just as good. Sorry that I can't be specific with the other brand but I'm out of them right now. Worth giving them a try.

Most of the little meat shops that I know of sell vaccuum packed items like steaks or jerky. Mostly in sealed bags. You might want to inquire as to who thier supplier is.

You probably have to buy a box of a thousand though.

Costco had a multipack of rolls and bags that didn't seem to badly priced.
Go the Food Savers website. They often have specials on bulk purchases.
