I'm fortunate to still have both my parents. They're both 82, and my mother is in failing health, which puts lots of stress on my father. I know, if I don't go first, the day of losing one of them isn't far away. I'll bring your grief to God in prayer and ask that he comfort you.

So sorry for your loss. His suffering has ended now, but you will find that you miss him terribly, if you're anything like me. Me and my dad didn't always see eye to eye, but in his later years we both grew up a bit and mended our fences.

I think of him daily and still miss him a lot, and it has been 5 1/2 years now.

Love those that you love while you have them to love...that was my lesson learned.
