Have you talked to anyone that voted for Hussein that has now regretted that decision and will not vote for him again?

I have. Last weekend I talked to liberal Colorado democrat that has seen the light. He bought into the message of hope and change but now sees it for what it really is. He understands that Hussein is destroying America.

Chalk up one for the good side. smile
Both of my Dem neighbors claim they intend to vote Rep in the fall.
Probably very few of them there as dumb as rocks just like Jeff O.
I've never talked to anyone that admitted to voting for him the first time!
The dire hard dems will vote for Obwan.

But

There a lot of folks with their hand out who will vote for him too.

It it how many of the folks with their hand out who will make the diff.

Apparenlty, there's some folks in my state that have seen the light..

[color:#3333FF]Obama loses Democratic primary in 15 OK counties....

OKLAHOMA CITY President Obama collected the most votes in the Oklahoma Democratic primary, but lost in 15 counties.

With 98 percent of precincts reporting Tuesday, Obama won 57 percent of the vote. Four other candidates combined for 43 percent of the vote, including anti-abortion activist and Operation Rescue founder Randall Terry who received 18 percent of the vote.

According to Democratic Party rules, Terry is eligible for a delegate since he won more than 15 percent of the statewide vote. Terry beat Obama in 12 counties, mostly in western Oklahoma.

Terry acknowledges he can't win the presidency but says he hopes to cause Obama's defeat in the fall.

Oklahoma earned the nickname "reddest of the red" states after Obama's failed to win a single county in the 2008 presidential race.

Had a dem neighbor stop by the other day inquiring about bulk ammo and canned goods laugh, reckoning some of these idiots are starting to see the light, and the error of their ways. shocked

I have only found a couple people who will actually ADMIT to voting for him. Most of the libs I know seem to act like it's some sort of skeleton in their closet they don't want to acknowledge. smirk

I have talked to 3 who admitted voting for him and wont do it again.
I have one friend who voted for Obama. In order to remain friends we have quit discusing politics. He buys the line his daddy told him "republicans take care of the rich and democrats are for regular folks". Facts will not get in the way of this belief.

That'd be "they're".

Actually,it should be "that are" or no "there" in the sentence,at all. They're doesn't work either. Hope this helped!

And some punctuation would have helped, too.

I have never met anyone that say they voted for the majiknegro up here. Believe me if they did they would find themselves being locked out of our society up here. They would not last long up here at all.

Jeff,

Are you one of those that the subject line of this thread refers to?
Every one I know that voted for Obama last time is black. They'll vote for him again I'm sure.

Don't underestimate the ability of Obama to draw votes. The campfire is not an accurate representation of the voting public of America.
A friend of mine from along IA MN border, far east side, comes and turkey hunts with us each spring. First year of the Kenyan imposter he admitted he voted for "hope and change" but already realized it was a big mistake. By last spring he was REALLY fed up and didn't want to talk about it much...

Turkey season opens here in a couple weeks.
I can't wait...

To my dismay, one of my brothers and my father voted for obammy. They have both since seen the light.
Virginia needs to get back to being a Red State and every vote will help!
I can't believe some here would have friends or family that say they voted for bammy. I just can't believe it. You can best believe that those people would be locked out and I mean completely locked out of every self respecting citizen from up here. There is no way that a bammy supporter or voter should ever be allowed to visit or speak again. Totally unbelievable that some of you Fire guys tolerate this insanity and speak so calmly and freely about it. They are marxists at heart and you should never forget that. Even if they are blood kin, you know you should not tolerate them. Shame on them and shame on you to if you don't take action against them.
Wow, looks like Romney may darn well win just a few votes shy of unanimous!

I do not believe any Dem that says they voted for Obama and will not do it again. I think they are just trying to sucker us into complacency. They will be out in masses in November, believe it.
Not many people down here in the Boot Heel voted for Obama, but the half dozen or so that I know that did, only one claims that he will vote to re-elect him. Not so good with the folks that I know in the Front Range of Colorado or in New York. I'd say about half will vote for him again--but that's still only half. Between 40 and 50 percent of our county's population lives in Lordsburg where sucking on the federal tit is the predominant occupation. They pretty much vote a straight Democratic ticket.

I have to add a disclaimer--I am a registered Democrat. Registered Democrats outnumber registered Republicans and Independents combined by a factor of about six to one in Hidalgo County. All of the local elections are decided in the Democratic Primary. The wife and I can't afford not to vote in the primary. The chances of changing to open primaries in New Mexico are just about nil. Until then, I am a Democrat.
He has not been the transformational figure many of us would have hoped; the entrenched interests who benefit from the status quo have been stronger, and more adept at fooling those they victimize, than anticipated (as evidenced by 90% plus of the posters on this forum).

He has however, governed at "worst" slightly left of center and has alienated the extreme left of his own party as well as the kook far right.

He'll have my vote again, barring some unforeseen circumstance.
How can you claim to be a gun guy and still vote for Obama. My sig line fits you perfectly.

Clyde
How has Obama's Presidency affected your ability to own/use the firearms of your choice?
It hasn't YET. You are fooling yourself if you think Fast and Furious wasn't back door gun banning.

Here's a question, exactly what has your leader done to IMPROVE this country?

No truer words have been spoken.
I do feel that there will be SOME apathy from some that voted obammy the last go-round from a certain racial sect. It will be like: d*** I gots to git off'n this couch and go vote, AGAIN?? I just done it like what four years ago??

He knows, he's just being obtuse. He is obviously sucking on the govt. tit. No way in hell anyone could think of that list as a good legacy.

I've always wanted to know how in the helll you can keep tabs on how many jobs were saved. 300,000 jobs saved. Horse hockey. No way to prove or disprove, and that was the plan.

All of his "improvements" were giving back to his backers. Not a one to help out this country. Govt. entitlement programs all.

Clyde
Nope. Self-employed as a small town (pop 4800) lawyer doing real estate and probate work. Is the cited list biased toward a left worldview? Sure it is, but no more biased than most of the right wing views here. Bottom line: Obama's done a fairly decent job and certainly well enough to defeat the likely Republican candidate (Romney).

Most of the criticisms I see here are based on Manchurian candidate conspiracy theories.

Equating Obama to Hitler isn't exactly swimming in the deep water! crazy

Look. 2008 was a singularity. We had an idiot 2-term Republican who had a majority in Congress for several years and fell flat of his/their face. We had a mismanaged war that turned out to be based on utter disingenuous lies and deception that oh by the way the Idiot in Chief not only did not fund, but was sort of negatively-funded in the form of tax cuts. We had, in 2008, an unprecedented deficit and it was clear that it was just the front edge of years of skyrocking deficit to come- NONE of which was addressed by the gentleman and party that just had an 8-yr run.

On top of THAT, we had an economic meltdown of historical proportions occur just before the election.

Then there's the disdain the Repub's have shown towards the 4th, and the fact that they've been co-opted by religious cultists.

To vote for McCain was the shallow vote my friend. It was handing the keys back to the guy that just ran your car out of gas, wrecked it, threw up in the passenger seat, and gave you the finger when you said "dude!"...

Now, I said 4 years ago and I'll say here, I won't vote Obama for a second term, on grounds of the 2nd if nothing else. But to vote for something- ANYTHING!- other than the fiasco that was the Republican Party in 2008 was entirely rational.
Much of your post is spot on, however I do not view Obama as an existential threat to the 2nd Amendment.
First term, no. The D's came right out and said they wanted nothing to do with the gun issue.

Second term, I don't know. Obama is clearly no fan of citizens owning guns. Coming up in Chicago as a Dem would shape a guy that way, perhaps. But I dunno Eric, he gives me the willies on the gun issue in a second term.
The half breed has done a heck of a good job at speeding up the bankrupting of America. Anyone who voted for or will vote for this bottom feeder is a complete imbecile. At least this Eric308 isn't afraid to admit he's a compete dumbazz.
Half-breed is a bigoted term. Frankly, a lot of the vitriol that gets spewed his way is based on bigotry.

We'd be essentially right where we are under McCain. What's funny is that in your Grinchy little heart, you know that to be true. wink
I think his views are, better or worse, shared by the majority of our now-urbanized culture.

The small-town/farm guys who hunted bobwhites in the back 40 and took the yearly Elk hunt are disappearing; the gun culture now is represented by the obese/emaciated, excessively tattooed, boorish types interested only in firearms that feed their post-apocalyptic/societal breakdown/government revolt fantasies.

Except for that whole Soto and Kagan thing.....

Let's not forget another, what, 100+ judges to lower Courts.

I'm sure they'll all rule in favor of the 2nd when called on.

Unphuckingbelievable that any gun owner could look himself in the eye after voting for that idiot.

George
He is a half breed. Just stating fact. McCain is a clown too, but, speaking of clowns, Bozo the Clown would make a better pres than the half breed.

Just to prove I'm not bigoted....I'd vote for JC Watts in a heartbeat. Bet that screwed up your argument.

Jeff,
You missed my point. It was inconceivable to me how someone like Hitler came into power. But after watching someone like Obama come to power, I see how easily the dumb masses will march to their own slaughter (either literally or metaphorically). I am NOT saying Obama = Hitler. Hitler was a charismatic leader who killed the Jews. Obama is a charismatic leader who simply won't do anything to assist our Jewish allies from someone else killing them. It's COMPLETELY different. laugh
You were wrong in your assessment of Obama in 2008 and your are wrong in your assessment of Bush's legacy. You are also wrong on what COULD have been accomplished in the last 3 years with anyone who wasn't a complete far left Socialist narcissist. You are also wrong about your assumption that I voted for McCain. You are also wrong about dismissing everyone who makes a 'half breed' comment as a biggot as I suspect many of those you label 'biggot' would vote for Col.West in a heartbeat.
Besides that, your post is spot on. crazy grin

Yes but just because someone is a gun owner does not mean they aren't an enemy to gun owners. They are lots of self hating individuals, on many levels, that voted for Obama. There are precious few pro 2A democrats in Washington (Obama sure isn't one of them) and they generally aren't so committed that they would ever cast a deciding vote contrary to their party's unwritten but obvious anti 2A platform.

No wonder this guy got elected....scary that our national intellect has been drubbed to such a low level.

It's a source of amazement to me that so many could not see Obama coming for what he was, and has turned out to be.....the biggest enemy of this nation and its' Constitution ever elected to a public office in the United States.

Wow!

thank you for displaying your liberal idiocy for all to plainly see.

increased gun sales are largely attributed to women, and even some limp wristed liberal types that realize the gov't is not going to protect them, it's up to them to be their own first line defense.

the 2nd has nada to do with hunting.

hunters have always been a smaller portion of whatever society throughout history that they represented.

it's even smaller now.

and it's fine, you're alive because some hunter fed the descendants you came from, hey some of you guys have to stay back and tend the fires and entertain the women folk, besides your type didn't have what it took to be a successful hunter anyway.

hunting activity speaks loudly to some that must indeed have those genes flowing through their DNA

the fact that they hunt and it makes them more effective at exercising their 2nd amendment rights if ever deemed necessary is just icing on the cake.

bottom line we can't help it that you're wimpy! It really does your kind no good to try and disarm the men and women that aren't afraid to exercise the 2nd most important right our founding fathers enumerated.

whether it's a breakdown of society for a temporary time (did you happen to catch the news reports about Katrina?) or just one or two or a few societal member's mental breakdown to take what is yours, up to and including your life, the second is a very important right to see that real men and women can successfully defend themselves against those eventualities.

Bravo...
I do know of one redhead in particular who has scraped the Obama stickers off of her car and has swiched from Dem to Unaffiliated. And she wants a shotgun. smile

Although its probably a waste of time to explain it, you completely miss my point.

My post related to the larger society's value judgments on which type of firearm owner group represents enough societal utility (or value) or legitimacy to override the potential perceived threat posed to society by that group.

In other words, while widespread firearm ownership clearly represents some threat to societal harmony (the degree, from miniscule to great, is argued all the time), do the advantages outweigh the disadvantages? I believe they do.

The point I was trying to make in contrasting the different types of gun owners (albeit with some literary flair) has as much to do with hunting as it does with tattoos, and everything to do with how average, middle of the road folks (and their majority votes) view various types of gun owner groups.

I stand by my theory, and I offer no apology for holding that "the obese/emaciated, excessively tattooed, boorish types interested only in firearms that feed their post-apocalyptic/societal breakdown/government revolt fantasies" are rightly held by sane folks to be more of a threat than a safeguard to domestic tranquility.

and I stand by my theory whether those "obese/emaciated excessively tattoed, boorish types" or gangs of another flavor, or just some desperate man out of work or has never worked but the liberal gov't (by some miracle quits feeding the able bodied that just refuse to work, because "hey I don't have to and I still get to eat so why should I?) or any other person or persons that have decided to take from those that have because they do produce, or just resent them and want to inflict pain and misery upon them because they do, that ALL citizens should be able to resist their efforts to deprive them of their property or health by the most effective means available up to and including YES Virginia/Eric our own government.

It matters NOT what guise the boogeyman comes in, whether tattooed up or in a crisply pressed brown shirt, if we are to be citizens rather than subjects we must have the means to defeat tyranny on both a local and individual level and if ever necessary on a national level as has been recorded numerous times throughout history.

that's what the 2nd is about.

and if you truly believe that as you've represented here by your latest post....

then your efforts would be better spent educating your liberal friends that will indeed vote again for an administration that will try and either deprive or limit our 2nd amendment rights as evidenced by Fast & Furious.

rather than supporting the administration that was covertly trying to give those middle of the road folks a false impression of how dangerous it is that folks in our nation are legally allowed to KEEP & BEAR arms.

that work for you?

I stand by my theory that there are too many mentally ill, left wing, politically correct weasels who think our Government's can do things right.

Seems like you are a fairly good word merchant, and that you also appreciate the safety of stating a mere theory in a situation like this. But, let's try your factual knowledge.

What % of our population are your "obese/emaciated, excessively tattooed, boorish types interested only in firearms that feed their post-apocalyptic/societal breakdown/government revolt fantasies" ?

Where do they reside, in the main?

When was the last time this country experienced the "domestic traquility" you see them threatening? Describe it.
My dad.

Funny, that's the way I feel about lawyers.
I try to have coffee with a group that is mostly liberal. For a while I was the only conservative and they laughingly called my the token. Out of that group all but one are seriously pissed and feel they were duped. Only one of that group will vote for Obama and he just thinks none on my side is any better. In some ways I have a hard time disagreeing with him on that point.

I think there are a bunch of Obama voters who will not vote for him again. Some may not vote at all.

Not all. Some are stocking up with you and me in mind. And I don't mean in a good way. Not saying your neighbor but it's more than a differing of opinion with the die hards these days. Some have seen the light, but the true believers have had a taste and just want more.
How can they see the light?

Might wanna check that premise. I would argue the opposite, that widespread firearm ownership does not threaten social harmony and widespread restriction does.

Hitler, Lenin, Stalin, Pol Pot, Mao, Obama et al. all relyed on brainwashed zealots like Eric for their power base.

Eric reminds of the dog Sharikov in Bulgakov's book Собачье сердце ( Heart of a Dog)spouting proletariat propaganda

Great book
Eric 008 doesn't care a wit about any truth. He regurgitates pages of leftist propaganda. I can see he is a wonder at "cut and pasting"! Probably got an "A" on that course in law school.
We can look for more "seminar typists" here to infiltrate this site with their lies.
What benfit has "O" brought to this Country? Anything? Let's start with an additional $5 trillion dollar debt, unemployment (U3) at a "new math" number of 8.3%. The real (U6) is around 16%. A continued horrific housing market. Gas prices over double of what they were when he took office($1.89). More people on welfare per capita than anytime in our history!
This new lying utopian as well as 243WSSM are two new entrants that will follow Chairman Barak to the gates of hell.
Don't let either get away with spewing lies. Jeff O, well he is already a "write-off".

Agree. With a billion plus war chest Obama will see that more and more zombies like Eric and 243wssm will start to infiltrate websites.

I'll translate this. I've never held a gun much less shoot one. I'm not conceited I'm confident. The 2 A is about hunting.

Clyde
Eric, they'll grow up though, most of them.

I'm all for widespread gun ownership. Hell... out here in the woods where I live I bet it approaches 100 % have SOME kind of gun. Some of them are losers, too <g>.

As an aside, you are well-spoken and make good points. They'll eat you alive around here. Fair warning. smile

Might wanna check that premise. I would argue the opposite, that widespread firearm ownership does not threaten social harmony and widespread restriction does.
It did after Hitler took up the guns in Germany.

All well said, though I don't agree with a lot of it. But if you vote for anyone other than the repub candidate this time around, you've essentially put obama back in office. Lame duck liberal democrat with ability and probability to appoint MORE liberal supremes..... BAD BAD BAD choice.
So he's voting for Ron Paul? grin
DC prohibits firearm ownership and is one of the safest "murder capitols" in the world.

I guess Eric's thesis is correct

I am not a racist. I voted against Obama's white half too. Take him to Earl Schibe and make him any color you want. I'll still vote against him. It's not a matter of race, it's about what he represents and stands for.

I dont believe the Obama voters have a mind to change.

I have. Last weekend I talked to liberal Colorado democrat that has seen the light. He bought into the message of hope and change but now sees it for what it really is. He understands that Hussein is destroying America.

Chalk up one for the good side. smile
Eric308,

I may be Canadian, but you? Well you can't fix stupid.

I guess high-yellow or even Yellow Fellow is out of the question, not to mention bright or even redbone. Obama refers to his particular predicament as being a mutt!

To normal people, yes.
Obama's not normal. Not by any stretch of imagination.

He's a half breed that hates his white half.
Hitler had some jewish blood in his veins. Anybody still missing the similarity?

There are many reasons to vote against the halfrican, the biggest and most compelling are the most basic and fundamental. Freedom hating, race baiting, community agitating, terrorist supporting, marxist/communist that would like more than anything to see open war on American soil so he can name himself dictator for life.

It used to be that communist traitors were tried for treason an executed. Now we have to work to vote them out of high office. Interesting times...
