Go check out this night hunting light site. I have the light and the clamp that comes with the kit. The clamp is made to fit on light and top of a scope. So I went to the back of my safe, pulled the 336 out and attached the clamp on the forend of the 336 (very end of the wood right past the barrel clamp)It fits. Looks like that will work for a light on a 336. Light would be on under side of barrel.

Couldn't find just the clamp for sale on site but the light is a good one for the night time. May have to buy the whole set up.

What do you have against duct tape? The Apollo 13 used it to rig up an air purification system and I just can not imagine why you have anything against it.
Maybe [color:#3333FF]this... if they're still in business...website was updated in 2009... eek

Not sure if they ever got around to making enough to sell, but might be worth a call...

So who wants to post a pic. Took with iphone. Need an e mail address to send pic. Seems I don't want to learn to post pics. so if anyone is willing send a PM with e mail.

Pic of light and clamp attached to a 336W.

If you would get a rifle that was tricked out right to start with you wouldn't have to be hanging aftermarket parts on it. grin

nothin' wrong with a little scotch super 33...
Unless you are dead set on being under the barrel, another option is to put the light right on top of the receiver using 1" Weaver QD see thru sights. It works well for illuminating the sight picture and the target, and with a tail cap switch on the end of the light, it puts the controls all in the same area (on/off, safety, hammer, etc.

If you do want the light up front and down low (a good spot for it BTW), your best bet is to braze on a piece of steel rail right where you want it (mag tube or barrel).

Which light are you planning on using? Inside or outside of the home?
