New here and trying to figure this out.....anytime I open a thread to view it and start scrolling down, it automatically kicks me back to the top, not allowing me to read more than the OP and maybe a response or two before scrolling on its own back up. I'm a member on another forum that runs off of the UBB thread format and don't have issues there doing that. Makes it impossible to read anything here!

Any ideas? Anyone else use an iPad with Safari to read this site?

Now that I think of it, it can't be a Safari browser issue as I tried another browser last night and it did the same thing. While all this is happening, the little loading icon in the upper left hand corner constantly spins as if the page never fully loads. If it hit the stop button after a second or two, the icon stops spinning and I can read the entire page, but that just gets annoying to do on every page.....

I use mercury.

It's and IPad issue that seemed to start with the newest version of the OS. It didn't do tha with the previous version.

It seems to go away after all of the ads load, mine did that for a while but it seems to have cleared itself up.

Just get a computer!

The pad is great for the fire and other things while sitting in the recliner watching TV.

Its ad related, if you use a browser that has ad blocking capabilities, the problem goes away.

Try Mercury or Atomic. Both are available in the app store for $0.99.

I have several. The iPad, and other tablets, are ideal for web browsing, etc while camped on the couch in the evening, on a plane, on the turlet....

I concur! I haven't touched the laptop in a LONG time!

As for the iOS update, this is the orig iPad and I haven't updated the software in probably a year plus. I'll try another browser with ad blocking and if that doesn't work I'll see if a software update will help.

Nothing wrong with throne surfing, and as a side benefit no one else in the family will ask to use your iPad.

Taptalk would be cooler.

Tapatalk would be, but last I saw there are issues using Tapatalk on a UBB driven forum. Another forum I frequent is UBB and I research getting them to allow Tapatalk with no luck. Reading online it seems as though UBB should already be supported, but I think they fell behind schedule in making it happen.

This has been an ongoing (and frustrating) issue with this forum. Not busting balls Rick; just telling the truth. It's as you describe on the iPhone as well.

One trick is to stop the page from loading very early in the process. Hit the "X" in the little load/refresh window.

I'm hoping Rick fixes this someday. It doesn't happen on other forums I use my iPhone to access.

Glad it's not just me then....and I do hit the "x" to stop the page from continually loading. It just gets annoying, that's all! Hasn't sent me running away though!

I use my iPhone from time to time to surf this forum and I had no issues. I just keep the soft ware up to date. I have not gotten an iPad yet. I am going to at some point, use it as an electronic flight bag. Its approved. And it weighs a whole lot less that the load of Jepps I use to carry.

iPhone no trouble. iPad? This sucks. Scroll down, it pops back up just like the op says. Only forum I have this problem.

I have no issue with the iPhone. The iPad is maddening. Thats why I went to an alternate browser. I use Atomic mainly to view this forum. Everything else works fine with Safari

I have the same problem with the Ipad only. Not a Pc or Imac. I downloaded Atomic and checked off the pop ups, ads, etc but it still keeps reloading.
