Congrats!
Almost 55 and a half. We usually just go out for an expensive dinner, something we don't indulge in very often.

Jim
was 43 for us this past august.

tom
56 years this last October on Columbus Day.

Bill Quimby
Coming up on 34... we were firsts, boyfriend/girlfriend and just never quit. We've missed out on some worldly experiences I'm sure... but we're happy the way it's turned out... or just short sighted.

Kent
32 years today smile
32 years the 18th. Hasbeen
together, mostly, for 27 years, married 16 of those.
MOMMA and I were married 30 years as of last September 26th.
32 years next month. Seems like 40 smile
24 here- but it seems like five minutes....

Under water.
It will be 41 years come next St. Paddy's Day.
Forty two years coming up.
Atvalaska: I mistakenly got married in mid-September (Elk rutting season) 37 years ago now.
The anniversary date is the mistake the marriage has been great!
But my advice to not yet married Hunter types - don't get married during any Hunting season as it causes some friction when you are up in the high country on your anniversary's!
In fact the wife and I seem to get along better every year.
We have a little trip and dinner planned for tomorrow here in the Rocky Mountains - just because.
Congratulations on your 30 year anniversary!
Hold into the wind
VarmintGuy

Just shy of FIFTY YEARS here. It seems impossible, but it has been a wonderful life together.

kd
...54 years this past September...we went to High School together. smile
35 for us.
Cat
Turned over 34 yrs in October,39 together. Same here on the anniversary, I just started hunting different seasons, no complaints, still in the mountains.

#27 coming up in July
Married 50 years this last September, just not to the same woman.
Will be 43rd next March 27th. Hoping four another 43 with her because I got lucky the first time.

That is my story and I am sticking to it. (seriously)
Married my HS sweetheart when we were 19 and I was an E2 in the Navy. That will be 44 great years on Dec 21.
33 years and still going strong!
We will celebrate 35 years on February 17th.
It's been quite a ride so far, with some really low points and a bunch of high points.
30 years for me...Time sure does fly. Raised two sons.
34 years as of Sep 19, to quote Gus McRae, "it's been a hell of a party."
My initial response to the title is: Which time?
Dated 5 years, married 36 years as of last August.
Heck, I guess we're relative newlyweds in this crowd. 23 years that beautiful soul has put up with me. I definitely married up.
I have, just not to the same woman.

Jim
Going on 48 next August. Time fairly well spent making many memories for me and the bride.
going on 44years with the same sweet lady..
Oct. 1 was #30 for us. My mom and dad celebrated #60 in December of last year. Dad passed in Feb.
47 yrs married and dated her for 5
Thirty three years, altogether. Married one year to the current (and final) one.
57 years married 4 years in high school
First marriage lasted an eternity. Last is going by far too quickly. A thousand years wouldn't do justice to the latter.
I'd say GOOD JOB sir... As young as your wife seemed when she stopped by I'd ask if ya got married at 12?

laugh laugh

Congrats sir, ahead of time.. Hope to see another post like that at the 50-year-mark..

Miss Mary and I are relative newcomers to a lot of you guys. We are coming up on 28 years the first of February. Our secret -- don't go to be bed mad -- stay up and fight! shocked

The Lord has made the difference in our lives, for sure.
A measly 17 years here after dating for four years.
32 and counting
There is nothing I would not do for her, and there is nothing she would not do for me, so we just don't do anything for each other and everything is fine.....
It will be 32, in March. miles
44 years in january
I had in 33 great years with my 1st wife before I lost her to cancer. I remarried another wonderful woman and we're up to 5 now. It remains to be seen whether we can both survive to reach 33 again but we'll have a great time trying.
Married for 28 years, and in a relationship with her for 2 years before that.

Virgil B.
48 years 6 month 28 days

But only feels like 48 years six months and 27 days grin GW
36 for us.

At times it seems forever,at others seems like yesterday.
32years in five days...
37 years 157 days . . .
Do three, 10-year marriages count?
38 and, honestly, I am enjoyin it more all the time. ;-{>8
Only 20 here but we outlasted all our friends some are on thier third now.
i got married to this woman at age 27, she was 37 with three kids the oldest being 16. I lost him a number of years ago to breast cancer, but he was my son in every sense of the word. People told us it would not be one year, too many issues and we would not stay together. I am now 66, and she is 75, soon to be 76.
about 40 years or so, given the dating thing too.
Never married, been with my baby mama 24 years though.

Forty-two (42) years next month.

KC

38 years here, plus a 10 year stint previously that just wouldn't take

Hit 25 earlier this year. We're going to St. John (U.S. Virgin Is) next month to commemorate the milestone.
47 years in January. Up's and downs, but we've made it (so far!).
Since 1984 and still going. Good wife and I still love her.
Almost 47, and still going strong...

It's nice to see that a promise made is a promise kept for so many of you men here.

My sweetheart and I are going on 17yrs married. I'm 42 and she's 40 so we'll be in it for the 'long haul'.

Yep.
The counter flipped to 38 years on November 30. We both were too busy, so didn't do anything special. Stayed home, had ten Italian cypress trees planted along the new fence for a privacy barrier and wind break. It comes to the point where nothing is new. Travel is little fun as everywhere is the same as here, except people don't use as much deodorant. I don't have a passport and don't want one either, we made a tour of Canada once when a passport wasn't needed. Wife went on Social Security, signed up for another pension she has from a private employer, and enrolled in Medicare and our supplement plan. That took hours on the computer, Snafu's everywhere. Too bad we're so practical. I gave her truck an oil change, swapped in Amsoil synthetic and a Amsoil extended use filter. I sloshed the drain oil on to the blue tarp protecting the driveway, she asked me if I knew what I was doing, we argued and I became a growling bear. She asked me to clean the furnace filters, so I did and installed a set of electrostatic and carbon filters the furnace installer left off when he installed the electronic filter. I cut my hand on the sheet metal and cussed up a storm. She said maybe we needed to hire someone to change the filters, I became a growling bear. We argued. She had her washing machine repaired, somethings are vital. I hid in the office while the repairman was working. I baked two loaves of sourdough rye bread, her favorite. She refilled my wallet from her stash in the safe so if I went to the range I'd have money for lunch. Maybe it's the little things we do every day that make it work. There is a new casino nearby, maybe we'll do a crawl when the blush is off the rose and the crowds thin.
cool!! we got up at 5am to good to work...I faked it! ..ran shower water never got in it ..wet my hair(smart of me huh!) started the autos....I left 1st ...I drove the other way hid and 10 mins latter seen her leave ... and I went back home!!! 3 day weekend !!! smile ....my lab came out barking/running wild/ tossing his toys around ..he knows something's up!!!! lol

I would say the same about age 65 with 11 and 12 year old stepsons!!!
Let's see, 1978 from 2013 = long time.
February 1985 here.
Been married since July of '99
Still going strong, love her the same as the day I married her.
36 this last July.
41years this past July smile
20 years on December 3
Hilda and I were married on June 29, 1958. Our wedding vows said "'till death do us part" and that's the way it was. Actually, she was "passed from death unto life" October 20th, 2008. Thankfully, we will get to spend eternity together.

Nothing could compare with the love and bliss we shared in our fifty plus years of togetherness.
i was married to my wife for 39 years 11 months, and 24 days until she was killed in a traffic accident earlier this year.
I met mine 25 years ago this past summer and she was already in the process of buying her first house. (I know a good thing) So I helped her move in and I never left. Anyway we've now been married 23 years as of November 24th and looking to go another 25 or so.
We have kinda grown comfortable together.
wow...I read some of these last few posts....and I got som-tin in my eye... ..seems every time I turn around the media/world tells me/us that ....."we can't do it/nobody hangs that long"....you fire folks rock! I'm am Humbled
35 for me and my bride this year
atvalaska;
Thanks for the thread sir, it's been inspirational reading for me - truly it has.

We hit 31 years of married life together this past October.

Somehow it doesn't seem like it, partly because we waited more than a dozen years to start our family, but that's what the calendars seem to indicate has gone by.

Thanks again for the thread, thanks to those who've responded and all the best of the Christmas season to all of you who gather round this cyber 'Fire.

Regards,
Dwayne
As of last July, 42 years.

My funniest anniversary story.

We were married on the 26th, I come home on Nov 26th and after a little bit I know somethings wrong. My wife is getting snippier by the minute.

I finally ask what's up?

'You forgot'

'Forgot what'

'You know'

'No'

'Our anniversary'

I'm thinking and figure, yep I did...'of moving in the house'?

'Wedding'

'Uhhh, we were married in April'

Pause...'Oh, ya'

I got a good dinner out of it though....

Kent
I hear ya... my 2nd... a son ..was born on sheep/boo opener! ....wife wined ...hey! at some time he will be a man an join me.......out hunting!
Met her when I was 18 and she was 19. Dated a couple months and got married. At our reception we had folks discussing how long we'd last. Got damn lucky and grew up together instead of apart. It was 32 years this past July, we raised a couple amazing daughters along the way, the oldest will be 31 tomorrow. It hasn't all been easy but it's been worth it. She's the stubbornest danged woman I'll ever love, I can't imagine life without her.
32 in march
Well only 14yrs for us but im in it for the long haul. If she can put up with me.
Seems like a lot of March weddings!

Congrats gentlemen! I'm still in year 1, but it's certainly nice to see how many marriages can still last, even though we always hear about the "national average" and all that bunk.

Over 42 so far and I was still surprised that my wife had such a limited sense of humor. A friend asked how long we'd been married and turns out my mouth is faster than my brain. I replied 40 great years and my startled wife said but we've been married 4... and it hit her then me.
Close to 35 years here, second time here first time for the XYL. With that said We have been together for over Forty years and still counting.
It'll be 40 years come April.
Wifey and I been at it for only 34 years last October 20th.

Btw for some reason it appears my old account here at the forum was deleted and it appeared I never existed. Dunno what happen but I'm back with a new account!

Bob

Why thank you Poobah!!! Likewise I'm sure! smile
31 for me last month.
29 years for me and mine on the 22nd and we are both 48. It has been great and I guess death will have to part us.
I didn't get married until I was 33. I sowed a LOT of wild oats before I ran into my ex sweetie from high school who had left her abusive husband after 10 years of misery and was raising 4 little kids on her own.

Those kids became my kids and I loved them and raised them like my own.
Congrats on the milestone, ATV!

Last November momma and I celebrated our 38th together.

Oh yea... "Cheechako! smile

Best,

Second time around here after eight years of living together in sin I spoiled a good thing and took the vows in August of '81 I still take her places and drop her off, she still beats me home, I guess it's been a good ride even after 32 years of tying the knot as she still enjoys ride.....

Congrats to all the long termers....

my first marriage... I was married a thousand years... but we fit it all into 8.....

second one, I've been with since 1990... we lived together from 1991 to 1998, when we got married Dec 30...

wife and I have a saying... " you can't fully appreciate a good marriage, unless you experienced one that was not so good"

sometimes I think of what my life would have been like if I would have had her from the start and never had to experience the first wife...

God blessed us with a wonderful son...

41 years.. keeping a low profile so she doesn't really figure out who I am.

38 years - no trade in value so I guess I'll just keep her.
34 years.
47 for me. Figured I'd be the leader in the clubhouse, but some of you guys must be really old.
