I wish we still had a gun shop in town! Our last one closed many moons ago. The owner used to do the gun show circuit and always had neat stuff to add to his constantly changing inventory.

Almost all of the conversation that goes on at my local gun shop fits that category. Same with the gun shop I used to work in. It's pretty standard in gun shops across the nation, and for reasons that should be obvious. They might as well investigate every regular customer in all the gun shops across the nation.

All I am pointing out is that the behavior of a poster on this thread that you condemned was similar if not the same as the behavior that you first presented in this thread.

All I know is that the government seems to be able to do what ever the hell they want because 90% of the people already think they would never do it. It blows my mind how quickly people are willing to dismiss wrong doings on the part of the government despite all the history to the contrary. While these kinds of stories may be BS I happen to think the level of scrutiny that they deserve goes beyond reading a web address. YMMV

I bought a rifle this morning and when the sales clerk asked if I wanted any clips, I said just get me 2. I'm just going to shoot it at the range, not go to war and that I already have to be careful because of all the helicopters that are always flying over. The gun shop owner, who lives near my shop, and I then got into a discussion about an apparent route for helicopters between two military bases that we seem to be right under. I guess next time the Feds come in he'll have to report me.
