I like to think that some of these big intrusive government and Obama cheerleaders are just other members' using their sock puppet persona to stir stink for Ss&Gs.

Socialism is about redistributing wealth. Which is a new spin on "take it from the rich, and give it to the poor", it sounds really good to the naive listener. But the people doing the redistributing always seem to keep a cut of it, for themselves... frown

You mean besides all of it?
Are you really going to swallow that guff about Obama was responsible for "getting Bin Laden"?
And no sense in asking you if you believe it was Bush's fault the economy went south as your declarative statement supports that idiot's posit.

"Who was President when Osama Bin Laden was killed?"
That was the question he posted.

And Bush spent more money than any other President, except Obama.
That certainly didn't do the economy any good.

Insinuating Obama was solely responsible for Bin Laden's death is laughable which is exaclty what he was insinuating. As to the Bush expenditures, what does that have to do with it? We were fighting a war, and BTW, check the unemployment rate then? How about the housing mortage issue that Bush tried to fix?

Yep, Leon Panetta had to make the call to kill as ze ro only has guts to confront American patriots with his goons.

Evidently antlers is too stupid to be aware of the Dimocrap instituted banking reforms Bush and others questioned which resulted in the financial collapse. He's either too stupid to understand or too disingenuous to admit it.

All that is fine in principle, but you surely are aware that it is trolling to deliberately "stir the pot" when these threads degenerate.

As for Obama's repeated references to his killing Bin Laden, having read the background makes me very skeptical of his real role.

As I understand, the military and Panetta had been working on this for some time. They regularly encountered strong resistance from Valerie Jarrett, Senior Advisor to POTUS and all-around henchman, former Chicago pol and close friend and former boss to Michelle. Check her background and heavy influence on him. She reportedly several times advised him to cancel the search for political reasons (risk of backlash if it failed). Her advice to him on a variety of issues has been a disaster.

Finally, others set up the raid and put it in progress without her knowledge, calling Obama off the golf course as it was in the countdown. Look at the pictures of the war room with Obama in golf clothes. He looks like he has no clue. He had very little to do with it other than acquiesce.

the average unemployment rate during Bush's presidency was about 4.5%. during Obama's....more than double that if if you kept labor participation rates constant.

Obama almost didn't kill Osama....Valerie Jarrett nixed it several times before he did it because he was afraid somebody would go public with the story of how he passed up the chance.

And now we know that this administration, in addition to using the IRS as a political tool, was looking at imprisoning regime opponents....thank you, Ms. Lerner.

The legal basis was that the Congress authorized the war. That was all that was needed. Furthermore, Saddam violated the ceasefire agreement that we had from the previous war and invasion that finished Saddam was just a resumption of the previous war.
Posted By: rbinhood Re: Kelly files - 04/18/14
And what was the basis for Congress authorizing the war---Bush's representation that Iraq possessed weapons of mass destruction. As I recall, it was yellow cake supposedly obtained from Niger. Unfortunately, there never was any yellow cake, so the whole premise for the war was a lie perpetrated on the American people and the Congress by the President.

Wrong.

It was the summation of intelligence reports collected from every major intelligence agency around the world and presented to the Senate Intelligence Committee, which was lead by Democrats.

Every intelligence agency in the world was saying the same thing....

Next fallacy.

eyeball- How about we invade Syria and you lead the charge to find the WMDs?
Posted By: HugAJackass Re: Kelly files - 04/18/14
And for the record, I did time in Iraq and have stood in the warehouses where those weapons were stored, and the factories where they were made.

Blow smoke where people are gullible enough to buy it. You're not very good at it here...

Out of curiosity, why were we in Libya again? And, how is that hunt for those responsible for Benghazi going?
Posted By: rbinhood Re: Kelly files - 04/18/14
Hug-So I suppose the speech I watched Bush deliver on TV with my eyes and heard with my ears where the justification that he offered for the invasion was WMDs was just a figment of my imagination?
We have satellites that can see an ant on the ground from space but nobody ever produced one image of WMDs in Iraq. Nuclear isotopes have a radioactive signature, but nobody ever showed any evidence of their existence in Iraq for weapons purposes.
Ya know Hug, you gotta quit watching Fox News.
Posted By: HugAJackass Re: Kelly files - 04/18/14
The speech that happened long after we invaded? After the intelligence reports all said the same thing? That speech?

You have a piss poor memory, they DID produce satellite images of the WMD's. So did the Russians, the Germans, the Spanish, the French, and so on, and so on....

Who watches Fox news? I was there....
Posted By: rbinhood Re: Kelly files - 04/18/14
Empty warehouses and empty factories, Hug. Where are the weapons or your evidence of their existence? Photos, videos, scientific evidence?
Posted By: HugAJackass Re: Kelly files - 04/18/14
Now, here is a good question for you...

Why didn't we have better intelligence?

I mean, at one time we had actual HUMINT coming from the Middle East with lots of assets on the ground providing clear intel.

What happened to all of them?

Oh yeah....

Clinton shut them down, and cut out intelligence abilities by 75%...

Follow the tire tracks and money, genius. They were moved. That's also been well documented.

Here is an article by Wired, hardly a Conservative publication...

http://www.wired.com/2010/10/wikileaks-show-wmd-hunt-continued-in-iraq-with-surprising-results/

Their existence there was widely proven. NBC et al just don't like to talk about it...

I wonder why....

So you are blaming Clinton for Bush's lies? It's never the Republican's fault, is it?. Did you drink the water over there, Hug? Are you suffering the same after effects of polluted drinking water or depleted Uranium that so many of our veterans are? You can blame Chaney and Halliburton, if you are.
The Iraq war was a great distraction to take the country's attention off of Bush and what an inept leader he was. His name and leader shouldn't even be in the same sentence. Bush should be tried as a war criminal at the Hague.
Posted By: HugAJackass Re: Kelly files - 04/18/14
You have yet to prove a lie originated from Bush or that he even knowingly lied.

I'm also no fan of Bush, he was no Conservative.

I'm blaming Clinton for removing the ability to prevent conflict and the loss of American lives. He had a role in it as well.

I was medically retired for my service, I've paid more and loss more in that conflict than you have.

Hug. From your wired article:"A small group mostly of the political right has long maintained that there was more evidence of a major and modern WMD program than the American people were led to believe. A few Congressmen and Senators gravitated to the idea, but it was largely dismissed as conspiratorial hooey.

The WMD diehards will likely find some comfort in these newly-WikiLeaked documents. Skeptics will note that these relatively small WMD stockpiles were hardly the kind of grave danger that the Bush administration presented in the run-up to the war."

I've posted facts, with links, and the experience that I provide from having been there.

So, far you've posted liberal talking points that are based upon emotional blather than any facts.

You haven't produced an ounce of proof to back up your claims.

You see, from a Conservative perspective, we don't like Clinton, Bush, or Obama, for much of the same reasons.

Which of those names appeal to you, and why?

They presented the intelligence that was given to them from Congress, specifically the Senate Intelligence Committee.

The unanimous vote of Congress wasn't because Bush presented THEIR own evidence, it was because they had the evidence that they collected from our intelligence agencies, and foreign agencies, on their own.

Tell me again how Bush was involved in that?

He should be in prison. Unlike Bush, he was proven to be a liar, of his own accord, before Congress.

And McCain...

His actions as a Service Member were heroic and noble. Nobody can take that away from him.

His actions as a Senator and GOP leader are deplorable. He is a warmonger and has proven to be liberal in most of his doings. As such he has placed himself at odds with the very Constitution that he's sworn to protect and defend.

Yeah, I really dislike the Republican's that have joined with the Democrats to do just that. Which is again, why most of us here are not fans of the Republican party, any more than we like the Democrat party.

Most here aren't party types. They're principled types and our Principles were eloquently laid out in the documents that I provided.

The fact is that both major parties in our Government are doing destruction to those founding principles.

The problem is that you can't reconcile the logic that you support our vets, while you vote for people that do not.

Now, we are a laughing stock for having given our blood bought country away. We are the biggest debtor nation in the world. We bow down and kiss ass of tin cup dictators while suckers like you fear the truth and not being PC.

As Jesus said, the sword of the law shall not be bared in vain. You don't know what mean is. There will be a great gnashing of teeth and that goes for pricks who support tyranny and trannys.

It's easy for libs to forget the truth. It allows them to blame others. That's what they do. They forget ze ros lies in the blink of an eye, though he only wants to ruin their country.

eyeball, watch4bear, atv, AK, ironbender, Are you sure that you didn't escape from Waco? You guys are beginning to sound a lot like Timothy McVeigh. Think your phones are being called by the Feds or are bugged? Are you laying awake at night planning to overthrow the government? Scary bunch of sick bastards, you are.
You better watch out, I bet the Feds are monitoring this site and what you have to say on it. Last time I checked, sedition was a crime.
Posted By: eyeball Re: Kelly files - 04/19/14
Yea, we are crazy guys. Kind of like George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Sam Houston, David Crockett, Ronald Reagan, John Wayne and other no good, low life domestic terr orists.

Just like from the dark ages, huh?

PS The baby killers escaped from Waco. No one else.

I think its pretty obvious there are folks in .gov who have already overthrown the premise of our country that government be under the control of the people.

Now, go back to your handlers and ask them what you should come back and say.

You mean like not exporting illegal aliens and protecting the border from foreigners from Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan who might be terr orists.

Yeah, wrap yourself in the flag and call up some of the founding fathers in an effort to lend credibility to your sociopathic ideas. I will give you that Reagan could sure read a script and John Wayne could sure act.

and they count those who only looked at the website. They are too gutless to tell us how many have paid into the plan. But, those with a high IQ who's teachers said were so smart, don't need to worry about it because they are young and won't want to live past the ancient age of 65 when they get there.

You've worn out your welcome visiting with me so fare the well and FOAD.

You almost always resort to insults when someone's opinion is contrary to yours, or says something that you don't like.

Been out turkey hunting all day with my nephew. Geez, it's been so quiet, I betcha all missed me?
Posted By: eyeball Re: Kelly files - 04/19/14
Y'all do any good?
Posted By: rbinhood Re: Kelly files - 04/19/14
We saw one turkey at 9:00 am. It ran across the road and by the time we could get to where it crossed, it was gone.

We got 23 inches of snow in the last 3 days, which has totally screwed up the hunting. Second year in a row the late snow dump has trashed my turkey hunt. Last year there was 30 inches on the ground. It is no fun hunting turkeys on snow shoes and the turkeys don't like walking in new snow because they sink, so they sit in trees most of the day and only move when they have to. Won't come to a call. I think next year I will apply for a later time period. We get to pick one week, and then if there are tags left over, you can buy a bonus tag and possibly get a different week. There may still be some bonus tags left for a few zone. I wish they would open it up statewide like they do for the Fall season.

Many years ago I went on a turkey hunt in South Dakota. It snowed 28 inches the night before we got there. Rapid City looked like someone dropped a bomb on it. We got two turkeys later in the week, but it was some of the toughest hunting I have ever done. Waist deep snow, and you are tripping over logs and rocks you can't see.
Posted By: eyeball Re: Kelly files - 04/19/14
Darn. Sorry to hear it. We never had to worry about snow to speak of in Texas spring turkey season and it lasts about 6 weeks here. Well, good luck if you get to go tomorrow. I wouldnt think you could call them in with all that snow.
Posted By: rbinhood Re: Kelly files - 04/21/14
Saw two turkeys at 8:00 am, but both were hens. We are limited to shooting only gobblers here during the Spring season. I feel bad for my nephew, as he has never hunted turkeys before and I was hoping he would get to experience one being called in and shot.
My nephew's father died unexpectedly shortly after my nephew was born. He has not had a solid male influence in his life, other than his grandfather, so I have tried to take him under my wing to teach him how to hunt and fish, and teach him how to handle a gun. The kid is an unbelievable natural wing shot. He broke a dozen clay pigeons in a row the first time I took him trap shooting. He hit the first grouse he ever shot at. We live a long ways from each other, so I only get to see him a few times a year. I do what I can to help out and I hope he gets a spark to hunt and fish the rest of his life.
Posted By: eyeball Re: Kelly files - 04/21/14
Sorry to hear about his hunt and hopefully next year is better. Good on you.

Of course, to be fair, Bush had a little help in Iraq, too.

War is not about laws. The basis of our attack on Iraq was that Saddam had violated the ceasefire that was signed at the end of the first war we fought against him.
