She lost about as much as I made,....but she brought me some burgoo.

,...good thing I'm not one of them people who are focused on money.

8 hours for a styrofoam cup of burgoo ain't even minimum wage in India.
Puppies or ponies?
Lexington, man,...Thoroughbreds,...
You gotta' teach that gal of yours how to wheel a field to hit the trifectas...

smile
Actually,...she's incredibly lucky most of the time.

I took her to Keeneland shortly after she arrived here,..just for chits and giggles.

Next thing I know,..she's buying racing forms.

Then she hits a trifecta.

Same way with Kentucky basketball.

She didn't know diddly about basketball,....now,..she stands in line for to get an autograph and has umpteen bottles of Kentucky basketball Maker's Mark bottles on the shelf.

,..I wish Stolichnaya would start putting that stuff out.

I hate bourbon.
My EX wife used to lose more than I made pretty regularly when I would go on road trips to distant area's and work my tail off for two or three days to try make enough to get us a little bit ahead. It is one of the reasons she is my ex.

It is nice to now be married to someone who is rowing us in the same direction as I am VS drilling holes in the bottom of the boat.
If casino's and tracks were places people could make more money than they lost regularly, they would not be able to stay in business. Let alone build the lavish buildings etc. they have.

Yeah! That! grin
Of course,..regular viewers will realize that I'm just clownin'.

She lost a few bucks,...but it's not like she does it on a regular basis.

She likes the track.

If she loses a hundred or two 3 or 4 times a year, it's cheap enough entertainment.

She pulls her weight.

If one has an idea RE: HOW to gamble at the track, it takes that much more of the LUCK part OUT of the equation, which is the idea... wink

Gotcha. At that level and that idea, cool enough. I thought by the tone of the post it was a genuine complaint. My misundertanding and maybe a still sore point for me even after all of these years. I could have lived with that level of losses and playing by my ex, also.

True, but you will probably get laid. Priorities, man!!!!
Bristo, you and your wife ever been to Saratoga Race Course? Beautiful historic track in a great small city. People come here from all over the world during racing season (July and August). Great vacation destination with the Adirondacks just up the road. Come on up!

First time I carried Dorothy to Vegas we walked over to Caesar's Palace and night. I stopped in the street outside and said to her, "Ain't that beautiful?" She allowed that it was. We walked in and I stopped again and said, "Ain't it grand?" She allowed that it was. Then I told her to remember one thing. She said "What?" I replied, "Just remember the winners ain't payin' for all this."
"Actually,...she's incredibly lucky most of the time."

Yep, Bristle, I know it's true since she sure snagged you. smile
