Here is the daily synopsis of the law enforcement activity in Fremont County, Wyoming, for yesterday, posted on a daily news website. Fremont County includes the towns of Lander, Riverton, Shoshoni, Dubois and several tiny outlying villages. The county is larger than some states, IIRC. The town of Riverton is completely surrounded by the Wind River Indian Reservation.

Officers who serve in large cities will probably laugh at this.

OOOPS, sorry. blush

Stay out Wyoming at all costs, you will not be happy here. Winters are long and cold, they start about the 20th of August and last until around the 1st of June. Summer is usually the 7th of July and maybe the morning of the 8th. The wind blows incessantly, 24-7, a calm day is when you can keep your hat on your head without a chin strap. There are no cultural events like cello recitals, gay poetry readings or book signings by liberal activist movie stars. This is due to the fact the natives HAVE no culture, they are all a bunch of beer swilling, tobacco spitting, gun toting ignorant rednecks to whom getting dressed to go out to dinner means a clean pair of jeans and a shirt that's been ironed , and never mind the cow manure on the boots. We have been "discovered" by Californians, refugees from Seattle and Portland, along with a whole herd of citified folks from Back East. This has driven real estate prices out of sight, I just last week saw a 1/4 acre lot with an outhouse and a wall tent go for $350,000. Fishing and hunting truely suck, you cant wet a line or walk in the woods without getting run over by a 4-wheeler with a Colorado license plate. Plus, theres a real good chance you will perish in the volcanic explosion of the Yellowstone caldera.
No, better you should go to Montana, I hear it's real nice up there.

Yep, sounds like Montanny. Anybody seen Travy?

4:42 p.m. A Kila woman thought that her neighbors goats looked like easy targets for lurking predators.
Thanks for the chuckles...
Wyoming needs more nigroes.

Diversity is our strength.
I know black folk here and they are fine. In fact Taylor Haynes ran for Governor and got my vote. What we need is purged of the few libtards that have moved in.

Washington? Really?
Steelhead and other fishing - so Washington/Oregon
Well--the big LE news around here this summer has been the mysterious bike kidnapper, who seems to steal unattended older used bicyles, ride them around town for a couple days, then abandon them in some back alley. It has been recommended that we all start using a locking cable.
Sounds like police stuff anywhere. Just multiply it times the population and square it if you have black people.
4700 blacks in the entire state. Lol.

Raccoon number 18 was live trapped in the 3100 block of West Main overnight. The raccoon was taken to the Rendezvous Pond area where it was released

Yeah Fremont county has roughly 40, 000 people, Lander (county seat) has about 8000.
A gal I know called that town Slander, thought that was funny.

Police reports in counties that have Cheyenne, Rock Springs, Casper, Rawlings look a bit different, I'll betcha.

Slander, opps I mean Lander is a cool little town though. The Longhorn statues at the towns entrance is a nice touch.

Most of the black folks in Idaho are either employed or students. That makes them vastly different from the inner city bunch.
Just one of many reasons that I chose to live in Coyote (Cody), Wyoming 33 years ago. God bless Wyoming and keep it wild and free.

Yep don't know why ghost has a problem with people of color. Good friend is a gentleman that retired from the Air Force and took a job with the Wyoming highway patrol. Black yes a better friend will you find ..no.
I met a black cowboy in Green River, real nice feller, I was told he was a hell of a hand, he did some rodeoing too.
I got to admit it took some getting used to, to see him wearing cowboy hat, boots, and Wranglers and RCA belt buckle. Beats the hell out of sagging jeans, and ball cap turned sideways, or backwards.

Ask that fella about his cousins and why he moved to Wyoming. smile
He was stationed here by the US Air Force ..you can't pick relation.

Had a friend in college in the USAF that was black as the ace of spades. He didn't like niqqers either and would say so to their face. Bob was a great guy.
Yep, Nothing like small town Wyoming life. Not much different than back in the midwest where I grew up.
Mr York is right though. Hotter than hell in the summer, colder than a well diggers butt in the winter, and the wind blows ALLLL the time:)
Wind? What wind?

Hey, but they are all good, hardworking family folks. wink

I heard that chitt till I had it coming out my ass 45 years ago from folks in the more northern areas about the Mexicans who ganged up to jump on single white kids to steal a quarter. Whites paid for the city parks for the Mexicans to use at their pleasure in south Texas.

Yeah, especially in your part of the state:)

The evening view....
That's Fremont County on the 25th. Check back for the report on the 2nd and there will be a lot more activity. The Indians get their checks on the first and go on a little binge. Of course, it's mostly "Public intoxication", "Public Urination", etc.

Lander has been my home since 1940, it has always been thus. Always will be, for that matter.
