Anybody hear about this?

There has been a lot of attention on eastern Washington over the last month as the Huckleberry Wolf Pack has killed over two dozen sheep belonging to a rancher in the area.

After "non-lethal" measures failed, WDFW and federal contractors attempted to kill up to 4 of the wolves in the pack in hopes of discouraging them from further attacks on livestock without having to kill off the whole pack. Apparently, they accidentally killed the breeding female in the pack.

Now WDFW is getting it from both sides: the wolf lovers are accusing them of deliberately killing the Alpha Female as part of a government conspiracy to exterminate the wolves, while wolf haters are hammering WDFW for allowing wolves in the state in the first place.

Sometimes you just can't win...

You meant sheep, fawns, elk calf, and adult critter killer lovers, and the folks that don't want those killers running loose don't you?

Awww what a shame they killed the Alpha female. Almost makes me want to have a beer, naw I will have 2 instead. Kill em all boys...

I am sure putting in that sort of perspective has caused some to at least think in slightly different terms
