I'm having to listen to it on the radio on computer as our local radio station is broadcasting a college hockey game.

man o man, tough times for baseball I reckon

Be interesting to know what % of the fans in the stands wearing orange vote for Dimocraps.
Posted By: 2legit2quit Re: Royals - 10/26/14
has to be lots

truthfully from what I can glean it's cities that screw up the voting in this country
Posted By: eyeball Re: Royals - 10/26/14
For sure, cities, blacks, Mexicans, Dimocraps, dope heads, criminals, welfare .... wink
Posted By: tedthorn Re: Royals - 10/26/14
Bout time......St Louis was getting tired of being the only MLB team in Missouri
Posted By: 2legit2quit Re: Royals - 10/26/14
St.Louis is a heckuva baseball orgnization

hope the Royal win the Series, but they don't compare to the consistency of the Cards,

them and the Yankees are amazing, but the Yankees suck (grin)

still remember Bob Gibson throwin heeeaaaatt
Posted By: 2legit2quit Re: Royals - 10/26/14
oh chit
Posted By: muleshoe Re: Royals - 10/26/14
Heck of a catch despite a run scoring. He boots it or it skips on by and there's big trouble.
Posted By: 2legit2quit Re: Royals - 10/26/14
yep amazing play

and nice KO to end that inning, could have easily been another 2-3 runs scored

surprised there's such lil interest cause KC's in the Series, good baseball is good baseball

and I'm finding these games very entertaining

Posted By: muleshoe Re: Royals - 10/26/14
The Royals are lucky they're not down by 4 or 5 runs. Can't seem to get anyone out.

Giants may not be the "best" team, but they can be damn lucky when it counts. Like I said.... can't count em out till the last out.
Posted By: 2legit2quit Re: Royals - 10/26/14
they're playing great, I think this a fun series to witness

two good teams goin at it
Posted By: sidepass Re: Royals - 10/26/14
Ditto!
Posted By: 2muchgun Re: Royals - 10/26/14
I have money on SF. Got pissed and turned it off when it was 4-1. Just turned it back on.

I give ALL the credit in the world to the Royals. I truly thought it was going to be a one-sided affair.

I watched the Tigers OWN the Royals all year. I just didn't think they had it in them. Win or lose now, they have at least earned my respect.

Truth is, I'd rather them win over SF. But betting with your heart never made anyone money.......
Posted By: sidepass Re: Royals - 10/26/14
Giants fan here but whatever the outcome thats baseball.
Posted By: 2legit2quit Re: Royals - 10/26/14
I'm not sure the Royals have any biz being in the WS

but someone forgot to tell them

It's been a good series so far with a lot of exceptional defense. The Giants have a good chance of going back to KC one game up.
Posted By: 2legit2quit Re: Royals - 10/26/14
yes they do indeed especially considering who's getting the start today

I think whomever has that one game advantage going back to KC is definitely in the drivers seat.

but it's the beautiful thing about sports, you have to play the games to see for certain.

good baseball regardless and I have to go to work the next day no matter who wins it.

admitted bit of homerism here, but who can find themselvses cheering for SF, the city that gives us Pelosi and Boxer? (grin)
Posted By: luv2safari Re: Royals - 10/26/14
I became a Giants fan when they first moved out west. They were the closest pro baseball team to Reno and were adopted by Reno residents back then. A LOT has changed over time, but I still like the Giants and 49'rs. I hate SF's politics, but I can't condemn Two good teams for that. I'd also have to condemn Cleveland, Cincy, NO, Chicago, etc.

I also want Californians to be real happy to live there. Less might continue to move here and further screw up my once free and open State. grin

That little gal who sang "God bless America" has been the highlight of the night.

Beautiful.

Royals in 7...?? grin
Posted By: 2legit2quit Re: Royals - 10/27/14
what a treat to watch Baumgardner work his stuff.

disappointed for the Royals, but watching a master at his craft is always entertaining!

congrats to SF for an excellent game

can the Royals win 1 or possibly 2 in KC

guess we'll see, great series imo

If Peavy blows it tomorrow night Bumgarner will pitch game 7.

Baumgarner was masterful, can't take that away from him. Hoping my Royals can get it done tomorrow and Wednesday night here at home.

By the way, whoever the dipschitt was that sang the National Anthem last night should be beaten with a dull axe.......if only to prevent him from ever trying it again.

Bumgarner threw a 115+/- pitch complete game on Sunday night and ya got him coming back on Wednesday? I'll believe it when I see it. smile

Oh, and Peavy will blow it.
Posted By: 2legit2quit Re: Royals - 10/28/14
Lots of rest available after game 7

not saying they'll use Baumgardner

but I remember the Big Unit coming out in game 7 in relief as the lil asian guy had blown a save or two when they played the Yankees

I wouldn't be shocked to see them use Baumgardner in a similar situation.

the guy's on top of his game for sure.

I would be shocked if Baumgarner doesn't pitch game 7, if it goes that far.

Bumgarner might pitch 2-3 innings in relief tonight. You don't know Bum very well. He's a machine.
Posted By: muleshoe Re: Royals - 10/29/14
No I don't him very well, not at all in fact. smile

He had a decent season, 18-10, but nothing great by any stretch. He sure is in the WS zone though. Pretty sure we won't see him tonight now. grin
Posted By: luv2safari Re: Royals - 10/29/14
The Giant's couldn't buy base hits for two months during the regular season. Bumgarner had a low ERA throughout that period, but got no run support.

I see the Giants are now toying with KC and are keeping this game close. whistle whistle grin

Both teams have proved they can beat the other anywhere

IMO slight advantage royals. But only slight

It's why they play the games

I think Bumgarner will start tomorrow. I hope he has re-fueled.

Thats what I thought too but Hudson is starting tonight. It's all hands on deck so don't be surprised to see Baumgarner come on in if the Giants can get a lead.

Would love to see Baumgarner pitch 1 more time for all the marbles.

I'd say put a fork in it. They can't get a hit off Baumgardner, sans the first batter he faced.

he's the MVP no doubt, even if somehow the Royals pull it out in the bottom of the ninth

Yep. Freaking royals go tits up when the Bum walks out. They stand there in starry-eyed wonder and twiddle as he runs one buy right down the middle.

The Giants make it interesting, for sure.

We call it "torture".

The Royals deserved to be here. It's sad either team has to lose. This was one of the best WS games ever, IMO.
Posted By: 2legit2quit Re: Royals - 10/30/14
you baseball guys, with a lh pitcher and the tying run at 3rd, would it make no sense to try and lay a bunt down 3rd base?

perhaps with the 2 outs no. But seems like a soft bunt down 3rd base line coulda created a lil more excitement....maybe???

The Royals had a great season and came within a hair's breadth of winning it all. The Giants winning by one run. Congrats to SF for a great series. The Royals have nothing to be ashamed of. Alex Gordon didn't do that hot in the Series, but he can sure hold his head high after that Triple.

Even if they'd have tried Bumgarner never even threw a strike to Perez, all shoulder high fastballs. No way he lays one of those down the 3rd base line.

But they arent happy I am sure..............

What a great ride that was! Very proud of my Royals, American League Champs and in the World Series until the bitter end of game 7! I would have bet a lot of paychecks back in August that we wouldn't have even seen the post-season.

Congrats to the Giants, and Bumgarner was certainly the MVP.

Only 13 weeks until pitchers and catchers arrive for spring training.

Go Royals!

Hard 2 be from MO & not take pride In the cards 1 of the best & classiest orgs In b ball for many years. Long dry spell for kc fans but this take gave them reason 2 be excited & hopeful for next year.

While I'd have like 2 see them win it. I realy enjoyed watchin well listening In my case to a young guy with warrior spirit deliver for sf

The Cards have been a Class act throughout their history. cool

I feared the Cardinals as much as the Royals. The Giants just have a way to scratch out the ultimate win. Bochy is why, IMO. He gets the best out of every member of the team, and they have the utmost respect for him. He never BS's them and is always frank and honest with his players. They know their roles and accept them.

Dang! I had to take three aspirin after the game. I was sore and worn out. grin
