Run out of options so I thought i'd ask here.

Got an old Echo CS 601S. I need the inner and out fuel line, these are rubber lines but the main problem is they are different size each end. They are no longer available as parts, saw would be 30 years old and runs great, when it has fuel lines that is.

If you know anyone into old saws maybe you could ask for me if they have a parts saw we can rob these two items

Fingers crossed
Johno
Can you possibly get two different size hoses and couple them together in the middle?
Boil some water and place one end in till it gets soft then place them together.
Parts have been long gone for echo saws... Too bad as they were good saws.. My dad has had one for like 45 years. I remember the day he got it from the john deere dealer I was about 3 years old....
Any way echo made JD saws for years and you may find a cross reference through a john deere dealer. Usually best to find an older farm dealer. The lawn and garden dealers were never much help for me. I'm still running an 80 EV JD saw.(echo)..
If anyone had the spare parts or knew where to find them, they'd be hanging out here: http://www.arboristsite.com/community/forums/chainsaw.9/

Thanks for the info, I will join up and see what I can find

John , a little OT but I had a travel trailer with a water line that needed to be different sizes on each end, but wasn't so, it leaked water. I solved the problem by going to a rubber radiator hose, which clamped and stretched much better for the different sized parts it attached to than the more rigid original. Surely a rubber replacement hose could be made to fit?? I like the idea of the hot water mentioned above.
johno, ....here's a link to some tubing I've been using for a coupla' years, with GOOD success.

I've been replacing those "Dual Diameter" lines with a combination of the Black Echo stuff, and the Yellow Tygon, in a combination of diameters,...as someone's already mentioned, you simply slip fit them together until you've got a line that will feed or vent, leak free.

Hope this will be of some help.

Greg

Pm the sizes.
I'm an Ol Chansaw Slut.
I've mailed parts down your way before.

Greg

Many thanks for the link, going to check sizes tomorrow.

As I only need a small ammount I wonder if I sent you some US dollars could you post me a couple of pieces over?

Roy, that works fine on bigger hoses but I think this will be 3/8" or smaller

257 you post came up after mine, will do in the morning

Johno
Don't worry about the cost.
It would cost more to send the money than the tubing is worth.

You buy the first beer.

Anything else Echo or saw related you need??
The order is in now.
Need an address too.
I know an Echo Junkie.
He'll get what works.
Gotta love this place.

Kudos 257 X 50

Greg.
Gotta love Ol Mag saws. I got a ported Stihl 090 that's fun.

The Echo lines, like you said are weird but if I can't find the OEM I'll make some up.
