I know it's early but some open early.
Official "Whatcha score?" thread.
Did Christmas with the runt and my mother last weekend. Got Cabela's gift cards and flannel lounge pants. I'm not a huge fan until I got this cold. Been living in them after work to get comfortable.
So.....what loot did you get?
I received a booklet 101 Scientific Facts & Foreknowledge.
I got a piece of a$$. Hope the wife doesn't find out.
I got camping gear and a new shimano spirex reel. Then I bought myself a xdm pistol and a dpms ar.
I received a booklet 101 Scientific Facts & Foreknowledge.
By the Institute of Creationism.
I get nothing for Christmas because I buy all my own presents, some through out the year.
I woke up on the top side of the grass, as did my wife, my daughter, and everyone else I care about.
Every day that happens is better than Christmas loot.
Stuff is just stuff; it comes, it goes, it gets used, broken, and replaced.
so far I bought me a bird shoot. wife bought me a hunting knife and gave me ..............................
I got some store bought stuff and it's nice but I like home made the best.
A friend over in Lewiston stopped by with some great smoked Venison snacks yesterday and then I discovered some hand made bullets from an old friend up in Bonners Ferry in my mail box today.
Hand made ornaments are one thing but how many people get hand made bullets for Christmas?
not really anything but my daughter came up for awhile and is coming back up for dinner tomorrow...
A pristine Remington 541-T Merry Christmas to me, from me.......
2 1/2 dozen GHG elite series fully flocked full body goose decoys!

And he said we were going to have an awesome hunt.

Sure, 'stuff is just stuff' and obviously health is everything but this is one of the best gifts that I have ever received.
It was my Grandpa's.
Merry Christmas Sam!
Your father's father, or mother's father?
Sure, 'stuff is just stuff' and obviously health is everything but this is one of the best gifts that I have ever received.

(father side)
Not exactly sure on the history of the gun but I will find out today.
A 1923 .303 Savage.
WOOT!!!!!
I really made out. I won't go into a lot of details, but will say that everything was wonderfully thoughtful. From Under Armour and Crocs, to the unspillable booze glass for my Rhino, I love it all. I can't forget the awesome package of smoked meats from my BFF dvdegeorge either.
Of course, the best gift of all was watching my family be happy. Best Christmas ever here, and prayers and best wishes to those who are less fortunate on this holy day.
A day off of work (paid) and a new fish finder for the skiff. Pretty good day, IMO.
Christmas Day still under way here, but with regards to hunting related stuff, I have a new larger (deer) carcass tray for my vehicle and a set of digital carcass scales that would probably weigh a hanging Elk never mind our Fallow and Roe!
Right at the moment, I'm sitting next to my beloved wife in front of the fireplace, beside the Christmas tree.
Nothing else that comes my way will mean as much.
Pat, I may have to ask for a link to the drink holder for my Rhino...
As far as what Santa brought... Just some undies and stuff like that. Oh, and a 2015 Ram 2500 4x4 Cummins.
I'm loving the mileage so far. About twice what my old Hemi got.
I got some nice shirts, a bottle of good whiskey, a box of good cigars, and a SS 6x42 Mil Quad.
Let's see here, got a camo thermos (nice 'cause I got tired of keeping my SS one hid in the blind, etc), a layout blind for goose hunting, a Magpul PRS stock (just need a barrel to complete my build), some Browning lounge pants, and some boot pullers! Santa was good to me (so was the wife!)!
Wife gave me a gift certificate for a pair of Russell Moccasins boots
Sure, 'stuff is just stuff' and obviously health is everything but this is one of the best gifts that I have ever received.

Keltec PMR30 a box of maxi mags a Esee Izula II knife and a pair of pj's. I got my self a old camp skillet (sheet steel) at a antique shop for 3 bucks on the way home from work yesterday. I was happy to get that as all the other crap, don't take much to make me happy. O yeah wife got me a stormy cromer. With the beard I look like someone from the civil war when I wear it, pitiful looking.
I got a piece of a$$. Hope the wife doesn't find out.
Haha! Merry Christmas!
I got a piece of a$$. Hope the wife doesn't find out.
She must be a heavy sleeper.
First full house since Aug. Pretty happy lad I am.
The amount normally spent on me by my wife/kids for Christmas I gave as a gift to friends of ours who are struggling with cancer.
She is one of my wife's best friends and her husband (cancer patient) is one of the hardest working/honest men I have ever met.
I am blessed beyond belief with my and my families health and our incomes. Another possession will not improve my position. But being able to help those in need is what Christmas is all about.
I got a new puppy. Will be here next week.
Bought myself a pair of wetland Mucks. YAY ME!!
I got a new puppy. Will be here next week.

I found the Ruger SR1911 that I thought I had on hold at the store under the tree this morning...seems wifey and friend(LGS dealer) conspired against me...oh well....instead of from me to me it means more from them to me!
Don't know yet. Daughter, SiL, and grandson won't get here for a couple more hours.
I got my wife an assortment of products from the only company making soy sauce in the US - in used bourbon barrels. Ought to be special stuff. We gave each other a Hawaii cruise for our combined holiday and anniversary presents, so only small stuff under the tree.
Set of golf clubs (going back because I am not anywhere near good enough golfer for clubs to make much of an improvement and I don't golf but a handful of times a year). A digital camera that allows me to download images wirelessly. A new Kryptec jacket. Handmade coffee mug from my daughter. Roof rack for my car for work.
Best gift though was the kids stating excitedly, "This is the best Christmas Ever!!!"
These are pretty outstanding, IMO...
My sister gave me a box of limited edition Padron cigars. My grandmother gave me a $50 bill. I think it's the same gift I have gotten the last 40 years and it fits every year. My parents kept me alive for 6 months this year.
Underwear and t-shirts.
Yes, that is correct...
I get "stuff" all year long. At Christmas I enjoy things other than "stuff". I am so blessed.

Cute little fella! I have a feeling he's going to be spoilt rotten!
Is he from working lines?
clothes, a new tablet and a new belt but the maker didn't get back from the NFR to get it done before Christmas so I won't get it until Monday likely. Impossible to buy a decent belt these days!
Received some great gifts from the kids and grand kids..
I cast a bunch in multiple calibers so upgraded to this new Gempro 500 digital scale..Way better than your typical RCBS,Lyman or Hornady IMO.

Yeah, I think my girls will spoil him rotten for sure. Over here Pete these pups are pretty rare, not as popular as they are in the UK. They are mostly bread for show dogs over here, although I will not show him but will do earth dog with him.

I worked mine a little on fox when he was younger, but just for confirmation of his working ability really. After that I trained him up for blood tracking deer and he did quite well..
With regards earth work on live quarry, you may find him a little slow to take an interest, but don't worry its not unusual in Borders.. Some just don't seem to take an interest until they are about 18 months old..If you have the patience to wait, these dogs tend to make very steady workers and don't get knocked up so much..Very often, as an older dog, they will carry on working after their more fiery counterparts burn them selves out..
If you do intend using him for working fox rather than earth trials, please, please get a good locator collar as your little buddy deserves the extra insurance they provide..
Regards,
Peter
There were lots of goodies for me under the tree this AM.
Entry level acoustic guitar
Quad blade helicopter with camera
Casting thermometer

Down vest
Couple nice sweaters

And
A mouse pad with pictures of my son and me with his first deer kill earlier this year.
A calendar personalized with pictures pulled from my twin daughter and son's own digital cameras.
Healthy children and wife.
Merry Christmas to my friends at the Campfire!
A buddy of mine who enjoys Bourbon was at a white elephant party and wound up with a 1.75 liter of Bulleit. I'd say he made out quite well.
Gifts are not just stuff. They are a measure of how important my love for you is. You give me schit? You move down the ladder. Give me good gifts? You win my love and friendship.
I thought I'd win gift of the year by giving my dad a Garand. But he one-upped me by getting my wife to get me down to the local shop just before we left on vacation. She made up some BS about looking for a gift for her dad.
When I got down there my buddy said "I got just the thing for your father-in-law." I was annoyed but didn't want to be rude so I stood at the counter thinking of all the better schit I could be doing while my buddy went down to the basement.
He came back and put a Kimber Montana in my hands. I told him "Don't show me schit like this around Christmas." He replied "All yours, here's the paperwork. Bought and paid for."
I looked at my wife and said "You bought this?" She replied: "Nope, your dad did. He says Merry Christmas."

My daughter made fudge.
dark chocolate fudge with coconut.
My son brought over some chocolate eggnog whiskey/brandy/bourbon mix.
I shot two deer.
ate like it was my last meal.
Good Christmas Eve service, replaced a lot of work clothing via gifts, harassed grandsons, took naps.
All in all, it was good.
.3 oh ain't.
I'm going to overlook this since it was a gift.

Life has been good to me lately after kicking me in the nuts 3 years ago.
My new attitude is that life is too short to not squeeze every drop of fun out of it while you can in any wholesome way that makes you happy. I did not have a pot to pizz in when I got engaged to my wife almost 30 years ago so I got her a major upgrade in rings. I knew that she would never ask so I just went out and did it. Personally, I couldn't care less for that kind of stuff but whatever.
So to get the point, My wife encouraged me to treat myself to whatever would make me happy so I did. A pair of restored to like new Ansley Fox SXS's upland guns. A 20 gauge Sterlingworth and an A grade 16 together with a 2 gun case.
The 16 was a joy to shoot last Saturday.

We got some stuff from Mom. I haven't even looked yet. Gift cards I suspect and some cash. I bet Chilis card and 50 bucks for my birthday coming up.
Had more fun watching her open her gifts of photo albums from us and the god child opening his stuff.
Got a sweatshirt from our cousins(his parents).
Thats all.
The wife still loves me.
(Obviously)
Wife gave me the flu. What a wonderful first time experience

Be thankful Dad is still around. Now get after that Garand!
I tried to get a pic of me wearing it. But we couldn't find a large rock with a crack in it for the photographer to stand behind.
I'll keep trying.

I had the polish sausage....
Enjoyable thread to read.
My favorites were how much kids and grandkids enjoyed my gifts to them. Got a Buck knife for a 14 year old that he loves, and everybody in our extended family from that point on asked his help with his knife as they opened their presents. Got my son a skookum headlamp I discovered from posts here at the 'Fire. He loves it and used it on a nighttime work project the next night and wow does it ever put out light!
My favorites received were some Rudy's Rub barbecue dry rub from Texas and a quality Silky brand pocket size folding saw for game calling stands.

I still have like 50 pounds of bullets to ship you, but after the bubble wrap and the duct tape, it won't fit in ANY drop box....

Zebralight H52 300Lm from Illumination Supply.
It produces a steady 300 lumens with a single regular AA battery and with the hopped up rechargeable battery they recommend it has a 500 lumen turbo mode that lasts a minute before kicking back to 300. I typed the word
illumination in the discount code and got 15% off.
JJ Hack prefers the H600 Mk II Zebralight that produces over 1000 lumens.
Really appreciated the tale of your presents to and from your Dad.
She got me a Millermatic 211 welder and me her a new set of golf clubs. Also received a set of Culina stocks for one of my N-frames.

My girls out-did themselves this Christmas.
When I was four years old (1959) Santa brought me a set of Tonka fire trucks - a ladder truck and pumper. The trucks made the journey from Seattle to our new home in California and I played with them for years after. I really don't remember what ever happened to them - they might be buried in the back yard or traded or given away.
Fast forward to Christmas 2014. My daughters presented me with a large box. To my surprise and delight, inside the box was a fire truck just like the one I had way back when. Apparently, Victoria started a search for it in July, found this on eBay and won the auction. She and Erica pooled funds and completed the purchase.
Interestingly (and I have no idea why), the white color scheme was only offered in 1959. Spare parts are available online - pricy but available so I may attempt to replace some of the missing do-dads (fire hoses, ladder, etc). For now, the main task is to find a place to display it properly in the house. Thanks girls - you done good!
Merry Christmas everyone!
