Brother Steve, we better get back to the blog ASAP!

John, my brother and good friend,

My next blog will be one most especially from my heart. The title is, "The Descent into Silence."

It's about my increasing loss of hearing and loss of word recognition ... it's down to 48% now ... and the acceptance of it.

The blog will also be about understanding.

I teach in RCIA and that will be an incredibly hard ministry to give up, but I must.

I have a friend in the same predicament. His hands are about wore out from years of hard work. His wife is a perfectionist and has him learning sign language of all things. Apparently she likes to tell him he's not signing correctly. I've been telling her to relax as it's just a speech impediment. Hope yours is a slow descent man.
