If you could witness any event of the past, present, or future, what would it be and why that particular event ?
Posted By: CrowRifle Re: If You Could - 04/20/15
The Crucifixion. No explanation needed.
Posted By: SockPuppet Re: If You Could - 04/20/15
I'd watch the birth of my daughters again. Every day of the week if I could.

I'd choose The Resurrection. It'd be nice to witness the 'ultimate' victory.

The day Obama leaves office never to return.

That's one I'd love to see. wink

Last year I was at the National Air and Space Museum. A great museum everyone should visit.
They have the B-29 Superfortress Enola Gay. Have been thinking about what it was like flying
over Japan on August 6, 1945 and ending WW2.

JFK's assassination. From the grassy knoll.

History...not fictional.

And here we go...

You've all taken the good stuff. Just to be different, I'd like to be at Bluff Creek on Oct 20, 1967.

So do you have an answer to the op's question or are you just here in a offensive manner as usual?
Actually Ms Lynn said "past, present, or future" So I would think that a bit of conjectural leeway was allowed...but that's not within your realm is it?
Posted By: RWE Re: If You Could - 04/20/15
I'd go back to 1992 to find out who stole my 870 Wingmaster.

Then I'd find them today and wear their ass out.
Posted By: Deerwhacker444 Re: If You Could - 04/20/15
Since a lot of the good ones are taken, I would have like to have lived thru the hype and eventual Lunar Landing. Seems like a time when the whole country really cared about advancing technology.

The Resurrection

Yes, hope that judgement is well into the future.

Think of how many folks one could say "I told you so" to, and by that time one could probably deliver a punch line for near every straight line provided.

The Wall Street Journal about three or four months from now. That should leave me time to get positioned properly...
Posted By: P_Weed Re: If You Could - 04/20/15
I'd book passage on Noahs Ark. I like animals!
Posted By: GeoW Re: If You Could - 04/20/15
Would that be judgement day?

I'm a Civil War history buff so it would be a real time aerial view of the battle of Gettysburg..
Posted By: 2legit2quit Re: If You Could - 04/20/15
tough question, but odds are I'd have to settle for another day's work with my Pops (grandpa)

I enjoyed the time we worked his small farm together, but believe I have a better, deeper appreciation for it now.

it'd be good to sweat with him, though this time at the end of the day I'd give him a hug that'd probably make him either blush or knock the chit outa me.

lordy but I loved that man

Toilet paper was much thinner back then, I am sure his finger breaking through and poking his ass is what he is referring to.

Many things I would do differently again if there was a possibility to do over. But those mistakes as hard as they are to live with at times and the understanding of who I hurt make me who I am today. And I am a much better person today, just wish I could have been that person all along without the mistakes.. Some of us just have to touch the darn stove to "really" see if it is hot..

Have a great day all

I wish I could have been on Tinian Island while my Dad was on it during World War II. His stories about the roar of those B-29s while he was hiding at the end of the runways during takeoff have always intrigued me.
