Tuesday in Ethiopia, President Barack Obama said he would win a third term if the Constitution allowed him to run because he has been a “pretty good president.”

Obama said, “I am in my second term. It has been an extraordinary privilege for me to serve as President of the United States. I cannot imagine a greater honor or a more interesting job. I love my work. But, under our Constitution, I cannot run again. I can’t run again.

I actually think I’m a pretty good president.
I think if I ran, I could win, but I can’t.”

I read that this morning on either Fox or Drudge. After I stopped laughing I found my appetite had gone away.

The Constitution says you must be US-born to be President. It says the President cannot dictate law. It says the President's job is to serve, not play golf and take global vacations twice a month.

So far, none of THAT has mattered. Why obey that silly "two terms" thing?

A year ago I'd of thought you were stupid if you thought BO would run for a third term. Today? Not so much.

If the R's put up more of the same garbage, I wouldn't be shocked if he was "prodded" to run again.

no. The Constitution says he must be "A natural born Citizen". It does not specify that he was born in America. A “natural born Citizen” means a citizen from birth with no need to go through naturalization proceedings.
If parents were US Citizens, or one parent was, then the child is a 'natural born' Citizen.

Not by my vote. Did not vote for the current administration first and second time. Too much ambiguous B S. on his part, too much gulabilty(sp) on liberals part. Not enough common sense by many. Sad thing is I would rather have most of the people on this forum living in the White House as President, than what we have in there now…I might not agree with the politics of some of the members here, but I think most would be doing their best for our country rather than trying to destroy it.
