I had one years ago, but never cared for it when compared to my Ruger 44 International, and sold it to a collector of such things.
Yes, I have a very nice Universal Vulcan Model 440 I purchased used at a gun show in the mid-to-late 1980's. I've only seen one or two other Vulcans at gun shows since then, and they weren't in very good condition.

Years ago I started collecting .44 Magnum carbines, mainly because they were affordable and my favorite cartridge to reload.

I've probably fired my Vulcan 50 to 100 times with factory ammo and reloads. Bullet weights ranging from 180 to 300 grains.

Every bullet weight shot five-shot groups at fifty yards I could cover with a quarter. (Provided I used five nickels instead of one quarter!)

The Vulcan won't win any beauty or shooting contests, but they are unique and rare. I'm glad I found it and it followed me home, many years ago.

Don't even think I'd heard of it until now.
Mike.

I'm down in australia and have an original four shot plastic magazine stamped universal vulcan.

PM me your address and I will post it to you.

Can't think of how many times ive been helped by blokes here, so its pay back time

Johno,

I just sent you an Email Post with my mailing information.

God Bless,

Mike

going to force us to google a pic just to see the thing, instead of posting one?

y'all are out of your vulcan minds...
They look like a pump action M-1 carbine.

Mike, nothing come through as yet, will check in the morning if still nothing will pm you

I came close to buying one years ago but went with the Ruger Deer Stalker 44 instead. The Vulcan were to cheap looking and ugly to be seen in the woods with one.
Mike

The magazine is on the way, postage maxed out my visa card, $3.20 LOL

Hope it works for you I know how hard it is find a spare one of these.
