CNN is reporting that Cecil's brother, Jericho, who had been guarding the cubs, has been poached. More details to follow, I'm sure.
Yuk. Wouldn't braising be more appropriate?
Male Lions don't guard cubs, they killed them
BS!!!
I saw a documentary about lions...

Now, now. We don't want to upset the dingy Disney crowd.

The behind-the-scenes outtakes were never released, until now....

Male lions sometimes form coalitions, often brothers, to watch over a pride. Reports say Jericho was watching the pride after Cecil's demise, and probably some of the cubs were his. But, I have no personal knowledge of this situation, because I wasn't there, but then, don't suppose you were either.
Let's see; we've got a government-funded outfit admitting on camera that if, despite their best efforts, a baby manages to squirt out of his "mother's" hootchie alive, they kill him anyway for spare parts, and half the country is outraged over a couple of [bleep] that dry-gulched a couple of lions.

Is this a great country or what?
News Flash! Now it is being reported that reports of Jericho's demise were premature. He supposedly has been with a lioness all day! grin
Named animals?

Too bad, I'm sure the "Lion Lives Matter" group were all filling their gas cans and gathering bricks.
There's plenty of humans (mostly sub-humans).

I'm for clearing out some of the undesirables to make room for some of god's more majestic creatures.

Jerico's GPS collar is still working and he is very much alive.

On yeah, and he is quite satisfied ... His belly is full of little cubbies.

It would be nice if the libs would have as much outrage over Planned Parenthood killing babies and selling the spare parts on the open market ... Now there is cruelty and something that should disgust all of us.

Steve
I see where this maybe a false story. The Picture shows Cecil and him fighting.Who knows. Anything to keep up the BS from the antis.

Exactly.

The bleeding heart liberals don't know much about the animals they are writing about, do they?

No facts. Just emotion.

One lion adopting his brother's cubs. Riiight....
Point being, it seems like everything else these days, kids are being indoctrinated from an early age in regards to hunting. I think it's innevatable that some years up the road voters will put an end to it. When you look at how many younger adults have bought into the racism and white privalage BS, I never dreamed it could take hold like it has.
So far over the last thirty years, I have seen nothing that indicates to me, that the liberal agenda has slowed, rather it continues to move forward, at the same time the conservative ideals are maligned as outdated.
The pussification continues!

Just checked MSN, even they say Jericho is alive and well. You guys can rest easy now, he's at home taking care of the cubs and farting rainbows.

Life is good! grin

I wonder how many of the bleeding hearts have actually seen a lion in the bush? Or maybe they should ... I bear that libs make great lion food grin

When I was just finishing a hunt in Zim, my PH buddy and I took a little side trip and scouted/baited an area for his next safari ... one on which he had a lion permit. We saw two just at daybreak, a lion and a lioness.

They were fairly close and I went home with the opinion that the lion is one exceedingly serious piece of ordinance. HOLY CRAP ... that is one critter that would need a serious bullet and perfect placement.

Soft and cuddly? I think not.

Steve

Agreed Steve. Besides grizzly, they are the only critter Ive seen in the wild that really scares me. ( unless you count wounded leopards)
327,653

That's how many innocent children PP murdered last year.

If this has been proven false, although originally touted as gospel, then how do we know the REAL story on the other one?

as long as liberals can believe what you wrote, they'll be happy for a bit, well till they realize the 2nd amendment is still in effect.

Friend Ingwe,

I'm glad that you said that the lion is one critter that really SCARES you. I totally felt the same ... I mean, I would not hesitate to kill the huge cat most sincerely dead, but the huge bugger was just plain scary.

Grizzly? Yep, I had one boil out of a pool in Snake River up in the Yukon. It was a really big sow and she had two 2/3-grown cubs with her.

She boiled out of the pool and stood upright and made tooth-grinding noises. Damn, did I walk backwards out of that one.

That bruin got my attention just like the lion.

On my one and only leopard hunt, my PH carried an FN-FAL to the blind. He did not have to use it, Thank the Good Lord.

Any guy who isn't scared by big carnivores with teeth and claws has no brains.

Here's a photo that is identical to the griz:

smile Zebra lives matter
based upon a recent survey of members of the community where jericho and his brother resided have indicated they will not be mourning at their funerals.

they say that those two brothers will not be missed in the least.

ziggy the zebra and annie the antelope went so far as indicate that something should have been done sooner to control the uncontrolled aggression from those two brothers.
Rumor has it the local antelope are are happy he is gone
Who gives a ratz azz!

I certainly agree with this. Being a couple feet away from two in-the-prime, male lions with those piercing, laser amber headlights with nothing but a security fence between you and them gives being on edge a new meaning.
Try being 15 feet from a highly pissed and wounded tiger!!! We had to do him in in the Central Highlands. The Montanyards were overjoyed!!!

Pretty much sums it up. but Meanwhile, in America, Planned Parenthood murdered 327,653 innocent children last year.
These type stories are what the gov and brown clown are using to distract the country along with un-planned parenthood while they are devising the big plan to put an end to this country.

We had an ambush set up in the jungle for the NVA. The Tiger tripped a trip flare and got royally pissed. Squad honcho popped a claymore but only 1 ball hit the cat in the base of the tail. Blast pissed him off even more several rifle shots to the head with M14 was required. Scared us all schidtless and we weren't beginners at war. The Colonel basically was given the hide by the scumbag company commander to suck up. The squad honcho shoulda got it. Fuqkken officers suck!!!

when you are close to one - even half grown, playful, frisky, and used to people, they have your undivided attention:

Lots going on there with the body language.

My first instinct would be to get rid of the hardware-store chandelier rope and step up to a logging chain for a leash/collar.

To soon, to soo... BWHAHAHAHAHHA!
Sounds like a pretty tense time.

Thank you for your service.

A few years ago we went to a critter show in Las Vegas, with lions and Dolphins. Some mid-aged Dude had a 100# Lab with some crocked up ( my opinion) sheet on it's back and his deal to get the dog near the Cat cages was it was good training for him....all BS. Guide dog my asp! My Australian shepard was better trained than that dog ever will be.

A handler came out and was chatting with said Dude, and the cage had a particular "intrigued cat" was in was maybe 50 yards long. I video taped that cat Eyeballing said dog as he paced along the fence. I swear I thought that Cat was going to get through the cage and tear the dog and hopefully the stupid Dude a new one. Damd Dude and Handler seemed blissfully engaged in some BS while this Cat was locked on the dog.

From my position , besides getting good footage, was that Dam'd dog was driving the Cat insane. Looking back at it, I was pretty amped up on the way that Cat was stalking the Dog, and I was very greatfull the cage was there. I can't imagine the adrenaline one must get from actually being in the bush with such an animal.

I believe I lost all desire to kill a big cat that day, although a mountain lion while deer hunting would still get my trigger finger itching.

Thanks for the stories, other than the Miraciously-alive Cecil.

Never get outta the boat.
No no no

Dont sit down...don't...sit....

How is this guy still upright to film?.

At least the chairs are ALREADY brown.

AHHHHHH *clunk*

Libs have no pride, but kill their own kind, as a male lion does with a new pride.
The zebra joke should read black and white lives matter. That would really stir some people up. ED K
