I read this somewhere on the 'net. The thirty one million guys were real, but only around 12,000 of the thirty one million "women" were. A thousand guys signed up fer every woman. And that 12,000 represents just active accounts, no telling WHO those people really were.

An adultery site lying, what on earth is the world coming to?

Birdwatcher
Most women in San Francisco are too. wink
Very probably a LOT of gay guys getting the guys on the prowl to send them pictures of their cranks.

John
I wonder if I am entitled to a refund.
I wonder what percentage of the guys signd up, ever actually went through with an assignation? I thinking it's very, very small. All this crap is a fantasy game for bored married guys.

Case in point:

I suspect, too, a good percentage of those 12,000 real females were probably a mix of pro/semi-pro 'escorts' and freelancing 'hookers'.
It's pretty funny to watch all these guys claiming to have been hacked and their personal information, and credit cards, used to sign them up on Ashley Madison (including Joe Biden's son). That would be like forging a check for a can of Old Milwaukee.
It's gonna be hard to explain why he paid the charges, but at least he claimed he was ten years younger! laugh laugh laugh

Hunter Biden: I wasn't on Ashley Madison

By Katie Bo Williams - 08/25/15 03:39 PM EDT
Vice President Biden’s son Hunter Biden says the account using his email address on the infidelity website Ashley Madison did not belong to him.

“I am certain that the account in question is not mine,” Hunter Biden said in a statement. “This account was clearly set up by someone else without my knowledge.”

Biden, a married father of three, is one of many political personalities whose email information was included in the massive cache of Ashley Madison user data released by hackers last week.

But the appearance of a given email address or account name in the database is not a smoking gun, experts say. Ashley Madison doesn’t authenticate email addresses when users sign up, deliberately giving users the “plausible deniability” of membership.

Biden alluded to the lack of authentication in his statement, indicating that he had been targeted in this kind of scam before.

“From my understanding through press accounts, it is very easy to set up an account without someone’s knowledge as there is no requirement that an email address be verified and I am certain that is what happened in this case,” Biden said. “This is, unfortunately, not the first time that someone has used my name and identity to try to discredit me.”

Representatives for Biden told Breitbart News that the lawyer and businessman’s international enemies have made a targeted effort to acquire his personal information. Biden said he no longer uses the email address connected to the Ashley Madison account because it had been hacked.

The Ashley Madison account shows a 2014 credit card charge to a card in the name of “Robert Biden.” Biden’s full name is Robert Hunter Biden, although he typically goes by Hunter.

Unconfirmed reports gleaned from the released data have linked the card to Biden’s D.C. address.

Matching credit card data is still not firm proof of membership, experts say, noting that it is possible for someone to have registered under an email address and credit card account that was either stolen or purchased illegally on the dark Web.

Whoever did create Biden’s account got one important detail wrong: his birthday. Biden’s Ashley Madison profile lists his birth date as Feb. 4, 1980. The real Hunter Biden was born Feb. 4, 1970.
Think of the blackmail potential... laugh

Or the potential to take years off your life for trying.
And all were obviously Atheists.

Ashley Madison: Pair 'commit suicide' after being blackmailed over adultery website hack

TWO people are thought to have killed themselves after being blackmailed when their details were released online by hackers of the Ashley Madison adultery website.

Two people have reportedly committed suicide following the Ashley Madison leak
Detectives are probing a wave of extortion and hate crimes following the leak, when the details of 37 million members of the extra-marital affair website were dumped online by cyber-criminals.

A senior officer warned today that the tragic deaths were a "wake-up call" to the hackers about the devastating consequences their actions are having on peoples' lives.

They published the data - including the details of more than a million Britons - as part of a self-proclaimed moral crusade against users of the adultery site.

Superintendent Bryce Evans, the most senior police officer in Toronto, Canada, confirmed that his force have been told of two presumed suicides linked to the leak.

He said: "This hack is one of the largest data breaches in the world.

"This is affecting all of us. The social impact behind this leak, we're talking about families, we're talking about children, we're talking about wives, their male partners."

He said that the leak is having an "enormous social and economic fallout" across the globe and told the hackers: "This is your wake-up call."

The force is investigating how hackers managed to gain access to computer systems at Toronto-based Avid Life Media Inc, which owns the Ashley Madison site.

The company has offered a £240,000 reward to anybody who has information which could lead to the arrest of the hackers, who call themselves Impact Team.

A Canadian police spokesman said that the hackers have now released details of the entire Ashley Madison client list and also sent a taunting message to the company's CEO before releasing a selection of his work emails.

He added that detectives are investigating confirmed cases of criminals attempting to extort Ashley Madison clients by threatening to expose them unless payment is received.

The hack has had a devastating effect on families across the globe, with divorce lawyers expecting to be inundated with a flurry of calls from betrayed spouses.

Last week the first divorce proceedings sparked by the dump were reportedly started by a woman in Britain who found her husband's name on the list.

However, a top family lawyer has told Express.co.uk that being registered for the site alone would not be enough to justify a divorce on grounds of adultery in UK law.

The work email addresses of thousands of government workers - including more than 100 belonging to UK Government employees - were among the details of 37 million users released by hackers following a cyber attack last month.

It is unclear if the email addresses published are genuine, and it is also possible to create an Ashley Madison account using someone else's name and email.

Sure people can laugh, but I know who I'd want by MY side when the ship is going down.
Yahoo had an article on this. They reported only 1400 women checked their messages. 5 million of the (Fake) women had the same server ID.

All dating sites probably have similar ratios.

Ashley Madison signups must really feel like fools, and rightly so. "What transpires in the dark will eventually come into the light." I do believe that's biblical Steelhead.

You have wonder where they got pictures for 5 million fake women. Guys would have to be finding duplicates and women would see their own pictures on there. Seems like there would be some lawsuits filed by the women.

,” Biden said. “This is, unfortunately, not the first time that someone has used my name and identity to try to discredit me.”

Yep Joe's been using that name to discredit your family for a long time Hunter.

I'd blame it on Bill Clinton if I was you.
