Last week.

I didn't see this get mentioned here.

Sure as heck didn't make it into the MSM.

http://www.breitbart.com/big-govern...assive-screen-outside-governors-mansion/

This afternoon, while abortion supporters protested outside the Governor’s mansion in Baton Rouge, Jindal set up a huge movie screen and speakers and played on a continuous loop all of the videos released in recent weeks showing the brutality of Planned Parenthood’s baby-parts business....

Planned Parenthood has a right to protest today, but Governor Jindal’s office will ensure that anyone who shows up will have to witness first-hand the offensive actions of the organization they are supporting,” the Governor’s office said this morning.

Outstanding! cool

Birdwatcher

Brilliant move.
Did he mention there are no Planned Parenthood abortion clinics in LA?

He's playing politics for the gullible

Why were the people protesting then outside his mansion?

To get abortion services?

If that's the case, how is presenting the videos not pertinent?

The were protesting Jindal's move to block federal medicaid funding of PP in LA. PP in LA provides cancer screening, STD testing, and birth control to women in LA, but no abortions. Yep, Jindal is playing politics.

From the link....

Planned Parenthood’s Louisiana state director Melissa Flournoy said today, “Governor Jindal isn’t even in Louisiana today, but he’s made sure to prove that he’s always ready to put politics before Louisianan’s health.” She called his screening of the videos “a stunt”, which is certainly is, and certainly one to get under the skin of the protesters.

Flournoy said Planned Parenthood serves 5,000 women a year. What she did not say is that Planned Parenthood has only two clinics in the entire state and that the state has 67 Title X clinics who do much more for women’s health than Planned Parenthood except perhaps sell the body parts of aborted babies.

What then were the protesters protesting if not the cutting of funding to Planned Parenthood, a notorious abortion provider?

Birdwatcher
Planned Parenthood was planning on opening a 4 million dollar baby killing factory in The Big Easy, and Jindal wants to put a halt to the funding of PPH in entirety until the baby harvesting business was investigated.

Somehow, you guys call that politics?

They were protesting the funding cuts.
Abortions have nothing to do with it since the clinics there don't do abortions
He was cutting the funding because of a planned abortion clinic, the construction of which is currently nearing completion.

Hence, abortions do have something to do with it...

Those funds don't pay for abortions
Politics has everything to do with it.

If it was all about abortions he'd cut funding to that ONE PP clinic, and all the other places in LA that also do abortions.
Not sure that was in the agreement betwixt planned parenthood and the state to selectively line item veto specific services or clinics..

The federal funds support the entity, the entity will be performing abortions.

Ergo, cut the support to the entity.

Yes it's politics, just like your post is hype.
There have been investigations that have found no evidence of any crimes, so there is no need to cut funding for all those clinics that don't even do abortions.

It's the same as wanting to ban all guns because of what happened yesterday with the reporters, which is to say it's all political BS

Snyper don't get it. Cut the head off of the snake and the body dies. Any entity that has "Planned Parenthood" funding should be right smack in the cross hairs. As it should be.

Jindal has a much different stance on PP than Trump, Jindal wants to shut down the "other services that it provides".

http://www.theglobaldispatch.com/quotes-donald-trump-defending-planned-parenthood-40019/

Quote
Donald Trump appeared on the Sean Hannity show on August 11 and appeared to be clearly defending Planned Parenthood in the wake of shocking Center for Medical Progress videos.

“They do good things,” Trump began.

“There’s two Planned Parenthoods, in a way. You have it as an abortion clinic. Now that’s actually a fairly small part of what they do, but it’s a brutal part and I’m totally against it,” Trump said.

“They also, however, service women,” Trump said, adding later, “We have to help women. A lot of women are helped. So we have to look at the positives for Planned Parenthood.”

Quote
Trump appeared on Chris Cuomo on CNN’s New Day saying that he opposes federal funding going to Planned Parenthood to pay for abortions, but that he’s OK with tax dollars going to the group to pay for other services that it provides.

your links and its links only address states that don't do tissue donation at all. Of course there are no sales as there are no "donations" to start with.

Anything back on California yet?

As for the "other services", pretty sure they are offered at other publicly funded places as well, that aren't involved in selling baby parts.

And where are my links to what?
A state line means nothing to the babies who are dying. If Jindal's actions do anything to prevent an infant murder in New York, more power to him.

Your links to anything besides the hype and lies.

PP doesn't do abortions in LA, but you claim that's why Jindal wants to cut funding and do "investigations".

I showed you links to investigations that were completed, and you say they don't matter. Why do your claims matter?

You whine about wanting investigations and then ignore results when they find no violations

You keep claiming the "sell baby parts" but haven't shown anything as proof. Those lame videos certainly don't prove it, or there would be charges filed already

How is this NOT politics and BS?:

There are only three states in which Planned Parenthood affiliate clinics participate in fetal tissue donation programs: California, Colorado, and Texas.

And yet, to date, there have been 11 state-led investigations into Planned Parenthood following the release of the "sting" videos by the Center for Medical Progress: Texas, Ohio, Missouri (where there are hearings in the legislature only), Louisiana, Kansas, Georgia, Florida, Arizona (where it is qualified as inspections of clinics only, in compliance with current state law and procedure), Indiana, and Massachusetts. [Yahoo News, 8/19/15]
Brilliant move. If all of the pro abortion people choose to gather in one place, put up a massive screen there and show the abortion videos. I've never disliked Jindal, but I have more appreciation for him after this than I did.

He's obviously a fairly bright fellow.
Bobby did play that one well, even for an out of state governor.

He's not leading from behind, just from afar. He's gone more than at home.

That was a slick move, nonetheless. It got good media coverage and here we are, talking about it. For a politician, that's success...

How is it not political?

Maybe they didn't know their particular state clinics weren't doing "donations" thereby requiring an investigation?

And ensuring that the ALMOST COMPLETED ABORTION CLINIC IN NEW ORLEANS won't do this stuff is certainly appropriate, don't you think?

I don't think I am whining about the results, idiot. Not one bit.

I think its great that states are sorting out who's doing what on a systematic basis because apparently, they all didn't f'n know.

And I'm hoping PP gets its ass handed to them nationally for the actions of a few offices, and the funds sent to them are distributed to cancer and birth control centers that don't have links to abortion.

It's not hype, no more than your BS.

I'm just being subjective, for personal reasons.

That's pretty lame to waste time and money doing investigations for something that doesn't exist. It's a prime example of what happens when decisions are based on hysteria rather than reality.

Closing the PP clinics will only insure there will be more abortions, since most of their business involves getting birth control to the poorer women who need it.

It's being ignorant, and forcing your beliefs on others

You can say whatever you want but the fact of the matter is the taxpayer is paying for PP.
Sure, maybe he's playing politics. Maybe the funding to PP that they are upset about isn't going to be used for abortions or abortion clinics in LA. Maybe...maybe...maybe.... The vids are out there of what has happened at PP clinics. If they really want to continue the "good" things PP does they (the so called "good" PP faction) have to stand up in force against the stuff we've seen on the vids. Until they do they shouldn't get anything. Doesn't seem like they are to interested in making sure PP does what's right....they just want the money. It's Jindal's state and I like what he did.

you're a liberal, aren't you?

Arguing since my tax dollars aren't going to the paycheck of the one actually ripping the fetus out means I am not paying for the abortion?

Its easy. I pay taxes. Tax money goes to PP. PP does abortions. Hence, I pay for abortions - and I don't want to.

And when the going gets tough, you either comment about the opposing side being a control freak, or a racist (to wit your comments about blacks and hispanics)

Besides, how can governors know if this is happening in their state unless they investigate?

Likewise, how many times have I said that the money needs to be redirected to women's health and prevention- just not abortion? Somehow you forget that when you and your friends want to accuse us of a war on women.

Liberals.

People fall for the BS too easily, and many will just go along with the herd instead of looking at the facts.

I saw this over on reddit this morning.

Thanks, Snyper. I got a chuckle from that one.

Struck a nerve, huh?
I know you like feeling superior and "counseling"

I'm glad you brought that up again. I never used the words "counseling" or "counselor" in my PMs to you so you are either playing fast and loose with the facts or you are a liar. I've been willing to give you the benefit of the doubt, but since you brought it up again I'm wondering if you are just a fool or a liar. Which is it, Snyper?

Or maybe you are both?

LOL
I don't much care what words you used, since they don't change the words I used. You PM'd me to show me "how to get healing from the experience" that you mistakenly think I've had

And now you're just engaging in childish name calling instead of sticking to the actual topic.

Here's exactly what you said, which shows I didn't lie about anything:

I think RickyD got you all wrong. It sounds to me like you are post-abortive. A wife, or girlfriend maybe? If I'm right and you are interested, I can show you how to get healing from the experience. All you need to do is ask.

Liberals.

97% of what PP does IS women's health and pregnancy prevention, so it's obvious you don't know much about them

NONE of what they do in LA involve abortions

You can give me any label that makes you feel good, but it won't change the reality of the situation.
Abortion is murder of an unborn baby...period of of story, print!

Anyone who supports the killing of these babies, by planned murderhood or anyone else, is just sick.

You keep spouting talking points that aren't there.

Let's try this again.

I know about PP, I believe I have numerous times said that

I pay taxes. Tax money goes to PP. PP does abortions. Hence, I pay for abortions - and I don't want to.

So, planned parenthood funding should go to women's health and pregnancy prevention programs that do not provide abortions

I've said that more than once in more than one thread, yet you just come back with the war on women angle.

And you can put it back on me all you want saying its a feel good issue, but your argument method here is classic liberal.

You do nothing but spout talking points yourself

Your tax money isn't paying for abortions no matter how often you repeat that lie.

It's going exactly where you say it should

You claim you "know about PP" and then prove you don't by your other statements
