The man is just puking it up as he goes along and he's being propped up by people so sick of the status quo, they'd grasp at anything.
I'm an Oncology nurse. I see people all the time who know Chemo won't save their lives, but they are too afraid to consider the alternatives. Along comes a new doc who says he'll do it differently. He'll treat them with a combination of chemo and holistic and they think this new doc walks on water...and then, they wither and die just like all the other patients who tried the new and improved cancer cures.
Trump is a snake oil salesman and the only thing he's selling is his brand!
He's got no plan. He flies by the seat of his pants and people lap it up like it's manna from Heaven.
